On and unrelated note, I walked behind Tom when he was walking home from school one day in 1991 and he was humming a tune that he never released. I can't believe he sold out and actually went to the trouble of RECORDING some songs for money. The pre Flyswatter stuff was so much better...

 

It would be cool to hear a song that could capture the tone of the Cheshire/Dude Ranch era blink

 

Who doesn't want a song about buying enough food to FINALLY purchase a smile?

 

I honestly don't think it would be. Don't get me wrong I like taht stuff a lot but I like the more mature sound a lot more. I think BTD and Rabbit Hole are at the sweet spot of in between the old fast pop punk sound and their more modern sound

 

I wouldn't necessarily call the new songs "mature"

 

Compared to the dude ranch days, I'd say so. Again let me stress o love dude ranch and Buddah and Cheshire.

 

Let's reserve judgment and see how many skits featuring dogs California will have, okay everyone?!

 

Sound is pretty decent in this one

 

Don't really like that version of Feeling This tbh, I don't think either of them sound all that great, don't like the changes Mark makes. Musically felt like it's missing something too, maybe that's just the audio quality

 

Completely forgot I have pit tickets for this saturday.

 

Honestly, life's been so nuts that I also forgot. I'll be spectating next Thursday.

Predictions on album leak lol

But who knows it could be tomorrow.

 

I don't want it to leak. I want the release day experience with this forum blowing up and all of us listening to it. I don't want to have to vacate this thread for weeks due to spoiler talk

 

I wish they'd do something cool and give certain fans, or I guess it's more likely, people in other bands, little snippets of each song to reveal one by one leading up to the release. But it would be cooler if they let fans do it.

 

We still have 'Bored To Death' official video to be released in the meantime.

 

I've still never in my life listened to an album leak early and I don't plan on starting now

 

That's actually a cool idea....Like have Pete Wentz, Adam Lazzara, and others release a couple parts. Feldman could do one....maybe even Tom lolololololol

Haven't looked in this thread since the day Rabbit Hole was released so don't know how it's gone down after settling in. However, don't think it's good. Bored to Death is decent, but not mindblowing. I prefer a good half of the songs on Neighbourhoods to it.

Will probably get hate for this but I think there's a lot of confirmation bias with the new songs. I genuinely believe new blink and Tom could release the exact same song and people would be positive about blink and negative about Tom. I'm not a Tom fan boy either. But I think if it was him who released Rabbit Hole then people would give it a lot more hate on here than blink releasing it.

I'm sure people will disagree, just my thoughts. Still looking forward to the rest of this album.
