Clearly, Thrice had advanced knowledge of the Apple Music updates and were similarly displeased with the bold font.

@scottlechowicz I didn't even know an update was coming to Apple Music. Just read about a potential lyric feature, which would be very cool.

Haha. I was following the Apple thread here during the announcements and people seemed very upset about the font. I haven't seen what it looks like myself, but I just figured I would throw a stupid joke out there into the ether.

But I do agree a lyric feature would be cool.

I can still listen to it too, but I get a notification that says it's no longer available in your country

You can still listen to it too because you have also have it downloaded? Also, how did you get a notification?

@scottlechowicz you have me curious about this font issue now.

Never heard the live rendition of A Song For Milly Michaelson until now and holy shit.

This album has really re-energized my love for their entire catalog. I've been pretty much listening to them almost every day since TBEITBN came out. I think I've gotten more into Alchemy 3 & 4 lately than ever before.

Today I was trying to come up with my favorite musical moments in the band's catalog. The moments that just hit hard and give me chills. I'm sure there are a ton I'm not thinking of, but here were the standouts in my mind:
-The "Oh gods, why is this happening to me?" section in Daedalus
-The final chorus of Red Sky, right when the music shifts when Dustin hits the word "sea"
-When the full band comes in behind the tapping lick during the outro in Of Dust and Nations
-The entire end section of Beggars (the song)
    -The chorus of Hurricane
-The final chorus of Words in the Water

Thrice knows how to end a song epically. Circles, Paper Tigers, Under A Killing Moon, Dust of Nations, In Exile, Words in the Water, The Messenger, The Abomination of Man, Deadbolt Live, The Arsonist, Beggars, Promises and Disarmed all have incredible ending jams that make the song.

Finally Given the new album a proper listen.

To me is pretty par for the course with thrice. Which isn't a bad thing. It's certainly more straightforward than Major/Minor (probably the album is listen to most).

I dig it. Whether it'll still get rotations like Major/Minor or most of their other albums in years to come I don't know. But I definitely will be spinning it all year.

I can't really imagine this band doing wrong. For me they are up there with Brand New when it comes to consistency.

Just grateful I have them back as powerful and groove orientated as usual.

  17. I have fallen in love with every track on this album and can't get enough of it. This release has lead me to re-listen to their discography and I think they're one of my favourite bands now!

Gonna toss some of my favorite moments from Thrice's discogaphy as well:

    - The outro to Of Dust And Nations
    - The outro to The Messenger
    - The section just after the first chorus of The Arsonist
    - "Here my voice goes to ones and zeros" being repeated over and over after the second chorus of Digital Sea as the rest of the song begins to break itself down
    - The outro of Lost Continent (from 3:47-on)
    - The entire bridge/outro of Daedalus
    - All of Circles
    - The outro to Beggars
    - The riff used in the intro and after the first chorus of The Long Defeat
    - The outro to Whistleblower

This band knows how to end songs on a high note haha

Agree with pretty much everything people have listed, but also the end of Beltsville Crucible and the part of Trust beginning with "When this frame fails me...." really stick out to me

I wish they would have brought out The Beltsville Crucible instead of In Years To Come for this tour, but oh well.

That part in Night Diving when you can almost make out an audible voice, like people speaking above the surface of deep water, then the guitar starts chugging again

I'd rather them play both lol. Can they just play their entire discography at every show? Is that so unreasonable?

I mean, if it were up to me, there'd be nothing from IOS. Not really into that album at all anymore.

Interesting. I mean I definitely have to be in a certain mood for that album. But I think some of those songs would(or do) sound phenomenal with Dustin's current vocal style.
