This has very quietly become my favorite album to spin on Sunday mornings.

Vinyl Me, Please has been the best thing to happen to my vinyl collection and the worst thing to happen to my wallet in 2018

Buying these things is like a drug. You can’t stop, and when you get one you want more after a little bit

Also after two listens I can confirm this statement was true. Probably the best sounding vinyl I own and I’m not even being bias

  8. I literally used to get at least one package a day for a while. I couldn’t stop ordering records when I started. I am up to 765 records now...

Also, I recommend you do this. It’s fun!

Slowed down a lot this year, my bank account needed it haha. It’s been about five years of collecting now though. Started as a way to fill a wall with art and quickly snowballed into this obsession

When did Target start selling vinyl? Noticed a small selection at my store on Friday.

  18. Thanks! Man I have a friend that no joke texts me like once a month to see if I’ve had a change of heart about giving it to him hahaha. I’m really surprised EOTC doesn’t take advantage of the demand and press that record more — the last one sold out immediately!

Yea, it would take a lot for me to sell my copy of Lowcountry.

At first I wanted to just purchase things I really enjoyed, and then it snowballed fast. It has gotten to a point now where I think I have almost any record I originally wanted when I started purchasing records, but I always seem to find one or two records I really want to search for. Discogs has helped me since I moved over to it because I'll add an artist to my collection, only to see that they have 2 or 3 releases on Discogs I don't have, then I click and see a good deal there and jump on it. Discogs is really good when there's huge pressings of records, especially. I saw some super cheap Balance & Composure records there, and Say Anything's "Hebrews" I got there. Also have lucked out in finding a seller selling one cheap record, only to click their profile and see a ton of similar cheap records that I didn't have.

That's totally fair. I wasn't serious, but you never know! I was able to snag their EP at some point from their webstore, but the two albums have never been within my grasp. I am also surprised they don't take more advantage of the demand - they could do a bigger run and it would still sell out. I guess it shouldn't be surprising considering they can't even seem to be a band consistently lol.

  22. Hahah for reeeeeal. Guess it’s hard to get anything done when they can’t keep their shit even a little bit together.

Your collection is massive dude! I’m really jealous of the two HRVRD records, and the Head Automatica one as well. Those are great picks.

  23. That’s exactly my story too.

Originally, I wanted to only get my favorite albums on vinyl. I liked the bigger artwork and thought it would be a cool wall display or something. But like you said, it snowballed fast!

The first record I purchased was Blue Skies... by The Ataris at the Warped Tour in 2001. I don’t really know why I bought it other than the reason that I wanted them to sign something at their tent and I already had it on CD, haha. I didn’t listen to that record until probably 8 or so years later when I finally got a turntable
