Was at a concert tonight and missed everything live, but just finished Sony's conference. Pretty good, but nothing I'm sold for day one on yet. I imagine Kojima's game will probably be the best.

The Detroit game, looks corny as shit, but so was Heavy Rain and I enjoyed it, so I'll probably end up playing it regardless at some point.

The Resident Evil game looks great, but I'm an infant and you won't catch me dead playing that shit in VR.

Was Ubisoft's conference worth watching?

 

It had some good moments in it. Despite that shitty Kayne joke, SP: TFBH looks really great. That and Yves speech at the end was beautiful and showed just how much he actually cares about the company and the people who support it.

 

Loving the Resi demo. Use headphones

 

Yeah loved the Resi demo. Excited for a whole game like this. Way new direction, never would have guessed. Maybe for a one off titles but not 7. I'm happy though

 

Most disappointing E3 in a while? Got my AAA Spider-Man game tho.

 

This. To me that says that Red Dead was just (unfortunately) a rumor. I'm sure the teaser would have had an exec come out and give a quick blurb after; it's not outlandish to think they would quickly just get the logo up on screen and give the blurb anyway.

IMO we'll know truth to the rumor if we don't get an announcement in like, a week.

 

I really hope Horizon Zero Dawn is as amazing as it's looking

 

Watching Sony Conference now. Live reaction post

- God of War looks great and love the direction they're going with it

- LAST GUARDIAN RELEASE DATE WHAT

- Horizon looks cool, but definitely not my type of game

- The trailer for Detroit was real cheesy, but I could see it being good

- Resident Evil VR cool

- VR is much cheaper than I thought it would be. Still not sold on it, but cool

- I'd be totally sold on VR if I could fight John Cena through it. That'd be freakin sweet

- I imagine Arkham VR is going to be a hit

- They've done so much with Final Fantasy that I've always assumed they made the games out of order. Like if you asked me last year what game they just made I'd probably say 20 and this year 15 is releasing

- CRASH BANDICOOT. I need to lay down

- Lego Force Awakens. Rad.

- Maybe its just that I'm way more interested in this press conference, but this is spectacular so far

- Hideo Kojima is so over its ridiculous

- why is there a naked man with a baby. This will be awesome won't it

- Spiderman PS4. Love it

- Days Gone looks alright I guess. The trailer didn't grasp me at the top so I didn't pay much attention to the live play

Great show for Sony, not much to say except that was awesome.

 

I love that resi is called Resident Evil 7: biohazard in the west and Biohazard 7: resident evil in Japan.

That's so capcpom

 

What if Days Gone is secretly a TLOU spin off/re telling from a different perspective, and we find out at the end of the game a la PT. boom.

 

Loved Sony's conference. So many games I'm excited for. Can't wait to get off work to try the Resident Evil demo.

Not even just unreal - I'd be perfectly satisfied with one that has similar graphics to Mario Kart 8. Mario Kart 8 is one of the most beautiful looking games I've ever played.

It's insane how Nintendo makes games that look so good without looking uber-realistic.


I guess the parity I'm thinking of is how a game like Skyrim is considered beautiful, but something like MK8 is just as impressive- but in a completely different way

 

Mario Kart 8 looks so much better than Skyrim.

 

Wind Waker holds up better than almost anything from last gen.

Agreed - but without directly comparing the two, on first glance, they both have a "holy shit" effect.

Yes it was worth watching. Steep and For Honor look great, Watch Dogs 2 looks amazing and I'm getting it week of release. And if you're interested in South Park that would be worth it as well. It was very well done and better than last year's.
