  4. Poch says in a presser he wants to stay at Tottenham. Headlines follow up by claiming he is ready to leave.

The one earlier? He didn't really say he wanted to stay. I don't think he's gonna manage United but he was very diplomatic in saying nothing at all

Would be stupid to leave now anyway. At United he will most likely fail because the expectations are still ridiculously high.

Can you summarize the article here? I don't want to subscribe to read it.

Basically, he is proposing two 18-team leagues. Super League 1 and Super League 2. Bottom teams from League 1 would be relegated to League 2, top teams from League 2 go to League 1. Then below those two leagues are all the domestic leagues. He wasn't clear how the promotion process would work, but he is proposing some kind of automatic bid/playoff combination for promotion from domestic leagues to League 2, while the bottom teams of League 2 would be relegated to their domestic leagues. Example, the winners in England, Germany, Spain automatically get promoted to League 2 while the other domestic league winners go into a playoff for the final promotion spot. He is claiming this two-division system would help prevent teams from bouncing back and forth from domestic league to Super League every other season.

His explanation for CL was a bit confusing, but he did suggest keeping the domestic cups, like the FA Cup, as they are which would be cool. I think teams would still be motivated to win those cups, maybe even more so than they are now.

Ok, so this is still just a variation of the Super League. It's still bullshit because the domestic leagues would be diminished. What's the point in having a German champion when the best German teams are not even competing?

I was trying to describe myself to someone

Would England, Germany and Spain not end up losing multiple top teams? I can't imagine that those leagues (as in, the money men who run the show) would be all that impressed by losing their biggest names.

    Regular

Chansiri has announced that Wednesday are now for sale. Rumours that Red Bull are interested, which would be awful. Think it’ll be a long drawn out process that’ll ultimately see us relegated before Chansiri drops his asking price.

    I do not exist.

    RB Wednesday.

Edit: as someone living in Sheffield I hate to see all that's happening at the moment and you being at the lower end of the table.

It didn't hit at first but I'm starting to realise how happy I am Solskjaer is our manager now. I don't expect us to be this amazing all conquering team under him. But honestly I don't think there was a better person for this moment in time.

He was one of my favourites growing up. Every time he played my sister and I would sing You are my Solskjaer. It was easy to get attached to him, he always had an infectious smile and always seemed to "get" United. You look at others like Giggs or Scholes and while they were amazing players and I loved them, Solskjaer was so easy to connect to as a fan.

I really hope this goes well, not just for United but for him as a person and as a manager. It's lifted the dark cloud over the club, whether that's temporary or not we'll find out. But I'm a lot more excited about watching a game of football than I have been in a while.

    This is nice, too.

I had a great poster of Solskjaer I used to put up in my room as a kid (that i got from one of those shitty kids football magazines called 'match' or 'shoot' or some crap) and it was just him spitting lol. It was so fucking gross that my parents would always take it down but for some reason would never throw it away so I'd just put it back up every time B-):crylaugh:

Lmao, Courtois ranked higher than DDG, LLoris, Ter Stegen etc. :crylaugh:
Busquets too low, Firminho too high, Pogba a bit too high if people like Ramos, Marcelo and D Silva are just behind him.

Plus point - Kante isn't on there so he must be top 10!!!

where would i be if i was my brain Prestigious

So who is in the top 10
    Messi
    Ronaldo
    KDB
    Hazard
    Griezman
    Mpbappe
    Salah

  21. Joe4th

Memories are nice, but that's all they are. Prestigious

    Kane

I've tried to guess the top 10 but it is hard as hell - I've guessed

    1) Messi
    2) CR7
    3) Hazard
    4) Modric
    5) Griezmann
    6) KdB
    7) Salah
    8) Mbappe
    9) Kane
    10) Kante

But then glaring omissions from 11-100 list for me are people like Vertonghen, Alderweireld - Did they really have worse 2018's than Mesut Ozil or Willian at the bottom end of the list? Are Bayern players like Neuer, David Alaba, Thomas Muller etc. suddenly devoid of talent after a bad start to 2018/19?

FourFourTwo's 100 Best Football Players in the World 2018

Here's another list, has Lukaku at 95, Chiellini 87 and Dele Alli down at 80!

  23. Dele scored his 75th goal at age 22 yesterday but is somehow criminally underrated.

Hazard has no business anywhere near the top three.

Who leads the pack under the generational talents then ?

KDB had a good end to his league season and a good World Cup. Then the injuries to start the new season.

Maybe Salah based on the year alone ?
