MVP is going to be Mahomes and OPOY will be CMC

CMC wont get MVP because the Panthers aren’t a playoff team

 

Rivers is definitely top 3, QBs are more important than defensive players to be honest. Rams would absolutely be fine without Donald but the Chargers wouldn't be without Rivers.

 

CMC won't get MVP because he's a running back, even if the Panthers make the playoffs

 

This is what it will be but I think it should be reversed.

 

I think when CMC reaches the 1k rushing, 100 reception mark it’ll get covered in passing and no one will care.

I love CMC but if you take the award literally, which I think the NFL tries to do, Mahomes is way more valuable

Rivers has a pretty convincing case if he can clinch the division and outperform Mahomes I feel

 

100 reception is almost a negative in my mind. Cam can't spread the ball around or throw more than 10 yards.

That's my thing though - CMC is in a defunct offense where he is the ONLY option and he sees the field almost 100 percent of the time (15 percent higher than the next highest RB). Mahomes is in the greatest offensive system in the last several years. He's on a team that's literally been tailor made to him. CMC is in the exact opposite situation.

CMC wont get MVP because he's not even leading the league at his position...Gurley and Elliot have more run/pass yards combined AND Gurley has more TDs. Whereas Mahomes is 10+ TD ahead of every other QB and top 3 in basically every other category.

I love CMC, but, he's got 100 fewer carries than Elliot. I think Elliot has as many carries as CMC has total touches. Its hard to argue you're invaluable when you're team doesn't see you that way.

 

We've had extensive conversations on what the definition of MVP should be but imo CMC is literally more valuable to the Panthers than Mahomes is to the Chiefs but alas it's a QB driven league therefore Mahomes is more valuable to the product

 

Again though, CMC actually sees the field by far more than any other RB in the league. He is barely behind Cam Newton in terms of snaps. No other RB gets close to that.

 

While I understand this argument, the number of games where he doesnt even have 20 touches is crazy. Yes, he's on the field for every play, but his useage should be Leveon Bell-esque, 400 touches/season levels. Instead he's not gonna hit 350.

edit: He's got 7 games where he didnt get the ball 20+ times. Not his fault, obviously, but thats almost criminal considering what he does with every touch

 

After last night can we call CMC a QB?
