We didn’t tank for Ramsey lol. We got him fair and square.

Had we won more games and picked 10th instead i would’ve considered Ramsey an unrealistic draft pick. I wouldn’t look at it like “oh we could’ve had Ramsey and we LOST him”. In that scenario he’s just never in the cards.

But guess what we didn’t tank for Ramsey, we tried really hard to win that year haha. Bortles was the garbage time king. That’s how he got 4500 yards and 35 TDs. We definitely didn’t just sub half our backups in and roll over. We were just bad lol

If the Carolina Panthers have a shot of making the playoffs and the coach decides to sit Cam because he thinks he has no chance, Cam Newton loses extra money he could have made playing those games AND extra money he could have made in the playoffs.

And you think he'd stay with the team as an "established franchise QB" after that? Hell naw if I'm Cam in that scenario I'm demanding a trade and your entire team is falling apart.

 

Also prospects have ACLs too and don't have to hurt them in games, tanking for a player is just never a good idea

I think I'm a relatively rational fan until people tell me Dak Prescott is good or drafting a RB in the top of the draft is good value. Then, I lose my mind.

ONCE AGAIN, I am not talking about the Jaguars, I'm talking about a team like Atlanta. A team that is by all means a very good team that is having an unusual down year. Ramsey 100 percent supports my argument. The Falcons could've had Jalen Ramsey. They beat the Cardinals. Now they get Vernon Hargreaves. Does that one win REALLY mean more than Jalen Ramsey? I'm not talking about tanking because that's usually something you do across an entire season. I'm talking specifically about GOOD teams that are under-performing that should by all means be back to competitive shape next season.
