soooo...for anyone who knows or cares about the hematoma I’ve been dealing with this year, you know that I haven’t talked about it in awhile now but that’s mostly because I just felt like a person who complains when I talked about it and that’s the exact opposite of what I want to be as a person, so I just kinda stopped talking to most people about it and let it heal slowly but surely and as of today I can finally say with full confidence: it has healed and this nightmare is officially behind me! it’s a Christmas present in itself and I’m just so so grateful

 

??? That’s what’s my cat had on his ear that he had surgery on. I didn’t know you had one?? Is it the same thing? Is that a dumb question idk lol but regardless I’m really glad to hear that it’s healed!

jk but really, there was a scandal late last year with a few humorists. French ones need to come up with their own material instead of copying (though hiding it by translating the jokes...) y'all faves!

 

I assume so yeah. it’s a massive blood clot, one that I got from giving myself the injections I have to take for my MS. given the area and how much friction and movement is happening there on a day-to-day basis (it was on my right hip) it was very hard to get it to heal at all. there were times when my doctor and I both kind of lost hope but I’m just so glad that I’m finally better now. you have no idea. I’ll also be sure to only ever give myself the injections in my stomach or my ass in the future

Ohh damn. My best friend has diabetes so I know there’s a lot that goes into injection site things so I’m sorry, that sucks. Also, I never knew you had MS. You’re a dang mystery Travis.
Why couldn’t they just remove it? That might be ignorant but since that’s what they did for my cat I dunno
Regardless I’m glad it’s finally healed for you!!

He’s doing great, though, thanks for asking. They removed it and he had a drain and stitches for a couple weeks and then he got them removed and he’s been doing good since.
I definitely paranoidly check his ears all the time now

I actually learned this in my pet cpr and first aid class that I took when I was a pet sitter lol but it’s really important for pet owners too
It’s called a nose to tail inspection (I think?) and you basically get in the habit of running your hands along your pets entire body every day or every week or whatnot. That way you’re super used to how every inch feels and can tell right away when there’s an abnormality
