My lady got me tickets for the Chicago show for Christmas. Cannot wait to see the new live show! The last tour was one of the best shows I've ever seen.

 

What concerns me is it kind of seems like a burner account from someone else here who didn't want to say what they are really thinking

 

I'm so excited to see what the new visuals will be! I'm very jealous of everyone who's already gotten tickets and date announced for their city. Waiting on LA. Though I won't complain too much. I was able to see them 8 times in LA during the last cycle, so they'll surely be back a bunch soon.

What I'm most curious about is are they going to be playing songs from Notes On A Conditional Form on this tour? If it comes out in June, we'll have to have singles out already right?

How are they going to make this setlist??

 

I think there's an interview where Matty mentioned they wouldn't necessarily be working in Notes songs on this first part of the tour. Maybe after/at Reading (which I imagine is when they'll time the release of the album).

 

Nah they won't be playing anything from Notes until it's announced/we have a lead single/probably both simultaneously, is my guess

 

All I know is if “I Always Wanna Die” doesn’t make it into the set I will physically combust, which is what also will happen if it does get played live.

 

I'd prefer it that way, cus it would just be too much crammed in. Though I still wouldn't be surprised to see a lead single from it tossed in if it's out by then.

 

Every time I point out the burner accounts people just deny it and more people get mad at me. So, I'm out of that business. but this account clearly isn't getting the message of how to be a good contributor and member of this website, so, I doubt it lasts long.

 

But we should have a lead single by May right?

 

I remember him saying he needed Notes to be out before Reading/Leads, so at the very least they'll be playing Notes songs at those shows.

 

at the earliest I reckon, I don't know if his label will want to do a 3 or 4-month album rollout ON TOP of all the other shit these guys are doing next year

 

I wonder what song(s) on A Brief Inquiry will be the seldom played live tracks- a la "This Must Be My Dream", "She Lays Down" or "Nana" from the last cycle.

 

My first guess is "Surrounded by Heads and Bodies". Which is a damn shame.

I was like, OK, do I need to write a post about this interview/response, or should it just be this discussion and information that came, and was talked about, in these threads, is that enough/how big a story should/does this need to be ... and then I look at my music news feeds and I realize ... yeah, we cover this sorta stuff in a really weird way ....



... like, this isn't about informing or learning or helping or anything. I don't really know what I'd call it ... not like shame voyeurism, not clickbait, but it's something, and I don't really get how it improves things. It seems like we do the "person did bad thing look at it!" without any other steps, and then we move on to the next. I'm still working out my thoughts. But when I saw this on my screen within the last hour it made me pause and reflect.
