Travis did say he was working on Christmas music ;) maybe it’s not a Christmas song but a Christmas present of a single

 

No I just think Travis' injury put the recording process on hold. All the interviews they were doing before the Vegas shows started up were the plans were for them to use the recording studio at the Palms to work on the new album along with working on it during the down time. Now that everyone is free to work on the album we're seeing more pictures and teasers.

 

I’m sure Mark and Matt used the unexpected downtime to fine tune the writing a bit

 

I don't think Mark or Matt were just hanging out and doing nothing since June. I'm sure they were writing lyrics, riffs etc. I just don't think them not posting anything was a plan or choice, there wasn't much going on to post about.

 

Youre probably right, i am just naively hoping they're doing a surprise thing or whatever

 

I mean there wasn't that much from Cali was there? There were a good amount of tiny drum clips, otherwise all I remember was Matt's "sorry" clip and one line of Mark singing Los Angeles right?

Unfortunately that's never been blink's style. The only somewhat of a surprise they did was announcing in October that they were going to be recording DED for a Christmas time release.

 

Spoiler for all promo interviews: "It sounds new and exciting but also a mixture of *insert old album names*!"
