I miss the black and white era of the EPs and how Matty used to say he’d never have a Twitter cos all the bands he grew up idolising didn’t (and couldn’t) regularly post inane chatter. Said it created this sense of mystery and he appreciated shows more, because you only ever got a brief insight into how the people really were in the flesh. I like the logic, but I bet Jamie was sat rolling his eyes like NOOOO YOU NEED A SOCIAL MEDIA PRESENCE haha. Suppose in this day and age it would’ve been impossible to properly connect with fans without.

Been thinking about the potential set for this tour and just shaking my head. Where do you fucking START with this? Like, I know obviously The 1975 intro and Give Yourself a Try to kick off but like... damn. those production meetings must be something.

Yeah, two-hour show is the standard they're at now, we got those on the ILIWYS tour and the ABIIOR tour will probably be the same sorta deal.

 

In related news I just bought standing tickets for the opening night of said tour so would y'all like me to report back?

 

Mine arrived all dinged up and scuffed. I would accept that shit happens, but this also happened with the deluxe edition of ILIWYS...arrived with a giant crack down the pink casing. If I didn’t have bad luck I’d have none at all.

 

Overall or the USA portion or the show in Mexico? I have tix for the Phoenix show.

 

Overall :3 Belfast on January 9th is the first date of the whole damn thing!

My not so professional opinion on this album: Second half (Man Who Married a Robot and beyond) is much stronger than the first.

Overall I enjoy it & I don't generally consider myself a 1975 fan.

((Still think Foxing has the AOTY))
