Just got to work and the first thing someone said to me was "So I've decided that the new 1975 album is a rip off of Owl City.

Can I go home now? :(

 

I brought my dad to a show at the Barclays and he loved it. I knew he'd dig the live horns (he played tenor sax and keyboard in bands when he was younger). He was so impressed that a band he'd never really heard of was headlining a huge show like that. He also said that the production alone was worth the price of the ticket and he's not wrong hahah.

 

This is why I don’t trust democracies.

Me: Damn, I guess I’ve been sleeping on Owl City’s past few releases. He must’ve really turned it around to draw that comparison to the 1975.

I’m way behind on this thread, but returning to say that my hot take (10-15 full listens hot take) is that this is my favorite 1975 album by a country mile.
