Does anyone have any wallpapers (for PC or Android)? If I knew how to make high quality ones, I'd love to use the Love It If We Made It video because of its aesthetic.

    edit: Love this one

I don’t think I’ve ever needed a song more in my life than I needed I Always Wanna Die (Sometimes).

Let's hold our breath until we disappear

I just noticed that the vinyl has some matrix inscriptions:

Side A: If I don't get to see the beauty of the end of culture,
Side C: then at least I've seen the culture of the end of beauty

Man, Love it if we Made it is MASSIVE. I'm so glad I only listened once or twice before release.

The vinyl inscription says delivery pending. Fuckers.

  8. On my first listen, holy shit at that beat switch up. I didn't expect the experimental stuff to arrive this early in the album

How quickly they get back to the chorus after the first one in the closer rules so much. They know what we fucking want

  15. Mine is another early favorite out of the album tracks. I Always Wanna Die (Sometimes) is like a lost 90's britpop classic, what a brillant closer. This brought me to tears, only to be confused by the outro. It would be cool if Notes On A Conditional Form picks up right where the very end left off.

I’ve slowly come to the realisation that, for me personally, I don’t think they can ever top songs like You, Milk, Me, Haunt // Bed, So Far (It’s Alright), Undo, Anobrain, Antichrist, Woman, Intro/Set 3, Head.Cars.Bending, Facedown and Anobrain.

It boils down to the timing. I was listening to those songs as I left Sixth Form and headed to university. I’d never had to fend for myself before and I really wasn’t ready. Life was confusing, downright depressing and just all in all a great big fucking mess. I felt an intense personal connection to those songs and hadn’t really experienced that with music before. So incredibly grateful for those EPs.

I’m well aware of how the new albums are sonically and lyrically light years ahead of them, but it’s down to timing with me. Only one other band has had such a monumental impact on my life, and unfortunately that’s now been tarnished for me. At the very least it’s a lesson in not investing so heavily in your idols.

yo, i love this band and nearly everything they’ve put out and think they completely exceed expectations every time they’ve put out a record but totally agree that the ep stuff is sooooo special. sex/music for cars/iv all appeared in the midst of a nervous breakdown i was having in 2012-2013, and i don’t know if there’s a more powerful song in their discography than “me.” that was certainly the moment i realized what a great lyricist matty is. i may spend the rest of my life waiting for them to do an album that’s like the eps (which is fine)

ILIWYS is that material for me. i loved the EP stuff and the first album a ton when it all came out but in terms of impact on my life.....only album that stacks up to ILIWYS in that regard is futures, an album that literally shaped nearly every aspect of who i am.

The EP's still have my favourite individual songs by the band but ILIWYS is easily my favourite work of theirs as a whole. Everything about that album is amazing.

Absolutely yeah! There’s just this sound across them all that really resonates with me. And it was just so exciting watching them try all these new things and experiment. ‘Me’ hits like a ton of bricks, yeah. Vaguely remember seeing a live vid of them playing it and Matty’s mum being there, stood crying and ahhh. I can’t imagine how jarring an experience that must’ve been for her - hearing everyone sing those lyrics back to him.

In a way I’m kind of sad that the EPs weren’t an album? Like it bothers me knowing that some folk might never hear them because they don’t delve that far back or get the deluxe edition of S/T. Like damn - it’s their best material for me. I swear Matty called their EP stuff ‘guitar’n’b’ and I think that’s a brilliant label for it when it comes to songs like Undo.
