Tom playing live again? I really wonder what the state of that would be, i dont think he has played a show since 2014.

Just to go back to +44.... If the next blink album sounded like chapter 13 all the way through i'd be so happy.

    I love +44. But I’d rather have blink-182.

I wouldn’t want a whole album like that but a song or so I’d be happy with. Chapter 13 is the shit

Honestly if the next blink album had a darker +44 vibe I'd be way happier with it than I was with California

Blink should just make songs like this

Memories are nice, but that's all they are. Prestigious

I would much rather +44 be a band instead of blink

I think the most important thing is that they just do music that they want to do, and not try do to stuff that they think the fans excpect blink to sound like (like a lot of California).

I hope they have tried to do something different this time around, they seem to take their time on this record, which hopefully means that they been "experementing" a bit.

Mark was in such a different place at the time of making the +44 album. If he was making a +44 album instead of blink, his writing wouldn't magically live up to his writing on that album.

This is a true statement. +44 now would sound like blink, because Mark is in a different head space

Yeah thats exactly what i was thinking. +44 was probably a one off thing sadly.

They can call the band whatever they want but what Im looking for is something that feels a bit more sincere than California did.

I’m pretty sure California is what they wanted to write at that point in time too. And songs such as HISALP and San Diego are very sincere and personal and sincere to Mark I’d argue.

Yeah California was definitely the sound they were going for and Im not claiming all of California is nonsense ofcourse, and i do not think anyone can say that they are blink fans because of their deep lyrical content haha.

I guess i'm just saying i personally would appreciate songs like Kings of the weekend more if the lyrical theme was different. Songs can be fast and fun and still have meaningful lyrics, take Go for example (love that song).

My issue with California is, sincere or not, alot of the songs were either forgettable or felt like a regression (especially the joke songs, it's weird to me that "can't get you more pregnant" was written by 40 year olds). As somebody who had high Hopes for a mark, travis, and matt band, I was disappointed.

That +44 album has a ton of memories and imagery tied to it for me. I picked it up a month after it came out and there was a huge ice storm that came that week. School was canceled for like 8 days straight and we did nothing but party and listen to that album.

I think a 40 year gets the lyrics more than a 20 year.

+44 is the best thing Mark's done. Boxcar is the best thing Travis' done. Untitled is the best thing Tom's done.

  24. I'd like to know more about why you think Boxcar is the best thing Travis has done? I love that record and I know Travis did a few non-traditional things here and there but I'm not sure I would say it's better than his work on untitled, for example

  25. I agree. He went above and beyond on BCR. It paved the way for Untitled but it doesn’t even me go to places like “And I” or “instrumental.”
