i've been busy downloading apps on my new iphone the last two days and reading hockey and football articles / this thread and all i've learned today is that i'm gonna go home and watch Moneyball tonight.

mind you i've been at work for almost 20 hours the last two days, but very little "work" has seemingly been done.

Bengals: Dan Campbell. Guy took a dumpster fire locker room and turned it around in 2015. So much of the structure will be in place there already, might as well get a guy who seems good at motivation for your inevitable 3rd round draft pick who would have gone in the 1st had he not beaten that 80 year old woman up.

Broncos: Chris Petersen. The offensive creativity they should wnat, and with their division the way it is, that they'll likely need to keep up.

Browns: John Harbaugh. Capable of molding that insane defensive talent, and letting an OC take over when it makes sense (see: Jim Caldwell in their SB run). Also, allows them to take a big risk at OC to develop Mayfield (like a Kliff Kingsbury). If they want an offensive coach, weirdly enough, Josh McDaniels makes sense.

Bucs: Vic Fangio. They desperately need a defense, and without an obvious QB answer, rebuilding around a D for a couple of years while finding that guy in 2020 makes sense.

Jets: Dave Toub. Instead of going for the splashy hire, take the guy that everyone says will be rock solid. Have him bring some of Reid's assistants to replicate that success.

Packers: Jim Harbaugh. Want to get the most out of Rodgers now, and if you're a Packers fan, you dont want to whiff on your next QB.

Ravens: David Shaw, former Ravens assistant. A guy who can develop talent in a system that's good at finding it.

I wanted to put McDaniels to the Broncos and Jim Harbaugh to the Ravens for hilarities sake though.

I was thinking if you take a Toub, you'd then take the risk of someone from a college program at OC who's only job is game installation, etc. Just let them focus exclusively on offense and let the player motivation and personnel stuff to the HC. Similar to what Tomlin doesn in PIT.

Still might put Kubiak back with the Broncos

I trust no one to coach the Browns. For right now, I don't think I want to see McCarthy here though.

  10. Add Panthers to the list. If we don’t finish above .500 (which is fairly likely) that means 3 winning seasons out of 8 for Ron. Tepper will clean house and bring in his own front office (Omar Khan?).

My ideal options are Toub, DeFlippio, LaFleur

Yeah, I think you could add the Panthers, Cowboys, and a couple others to that list easily. Just felt like the Ravens and Bengals were the two closest to complete resets (whereas DAL and CAR have their QBs set for 2019)

  12. Jim Harbaugh former Panthers QB

    Just sayin

If the Panthers job opens, then yeah, that'd actually be the best fit. Though, I think any coach would be smart to keep Norv Turner, considering what Cam is doing this year.

Hopefully this is the kickstart to Bruce Allen’s firing. (It wont be.)

The panthers need someone more creative than Rivera, harbaugh is definitely not that IMO

They should check in with Lincoln riley and see what he wants

Denver is going to sneak in to the playoffs and they'll keep Joseph another year is the most likely outcome

If Chris Johnson hires a coach, he'll undoubtedly be the best hire the jets have made

John Harbaugh is interesting for the Browns. From Toledo, OH. Played at Miami (OH). Has a dumb younger brother he can (for now) taunt from the NFL.

You know he's going to the ReXFL.

Can the Colts reach out to Anthony Gonzalez to see if he'd come back to the NFL so rational Ohioans don't have to live with a terrible WR as one of our terrible Republican Representatives?
