Yeah I think this year I’ll release an unranked list of albums I loved. Idk how I’m supposed to compare Oneohtrix Point Never and Fall Out Boy, for example

I'll write you into all of my songs Supporter

yeah I need to try to get into Copeland again. couldn't really get into them for some reason

Every time a 1975 album comes, I eventually get to a point where I give up on the 2-3 songs that I dont enjoy and trim the album down to something more manageable for myself. Im just getting to that point with this one and Im pretty excited about it. Its usually when my love for their work really takes off.

there’s like five albums this year that have made a very personal connection with me and then like 50 more I like a lot and another 50 I haven’t spent enough time with but do like

this album is fucking amazing but on my year-end list mewithoutYou and mr twin sister are ahead of it

(my excuse is: i have to make ranked year-end lists bc it's part of my job. but also it was such a rich year for music that the ranking is even more arbitrary than usual)

You dont need an excuse. Ranking stuff is fun and you can do whatever you want.

  14. I love looking back years later and seeing what's changed and what's stayed the same. Some albums move up, some down, but those top three are usually pretty damn close to right each year.

i think this is gonna edge out mewithoutYou but it's hard and I have to make a decision soon

Ive been pretty wrong about my lists in the past. 22, A Millions was my number one for 2016 but for whatever reason, its fallen off pretty hard for me. Goodness was number 2 and now Im pretty sure that'll end up as my number 1 for the decade. That's gonna be a fun list next year

  22. still a weekly listen for it
