I asked the same thing a few pages back. I’m not making the connection either. The first verse really throws me off of that description.

 

He name drops Let’s Eat Grandma!!!!!

 

Reading this is going to make me cry, I just know it.

So according to that article it seems like there will be a release called Music for Cars containing both this record and Notes. Seems like the artwork for that will be the box.

 

Most underrated album of the year.

 

I got told that about Crystal Castles by an ex's brother as I walked in the room with a Crystal Castles shirt on, (prior to the realisation that Alice was being mistreated - we're talking like 2011). Was like...okay?

 

Wish I'd hold off buying this one now. Dangnabbit. Knew it'd happen.

 

I’m not a huge fan of the ending of that interview. You can tell mattys responses shifted towards the end he was getting short a bit.

 

I mean its not super clear but it seems implied.

Why do you feel such an urgency to make so much music?
I don’t know. Do you not feel really urgent right now? To articulate that is weird, right? I’m such a drama queen. Everybody is living their own movie, everybody is the protagonist in the world. You put out an EP in 2013 called Music For Cars, then teased the third album as Music For Cars before announcing A Brief Inquiry… What is Music For Cars? Is it the end?
[Pause.] No! Surely not. It’s a semicolon. That’s longer than a comma, isn’t it? But shorter than a full stop?

I'd start to get a little irritated too if an interviewer questioned if I'd start using again.

 

I mean I'm reading that as a confirmation of it really haha. It'll probably be both with some b-sides or whatever.
