Actually yes! I finished one for my mom a couple weeks ago and am currently working on one for my dad that will hopefully be done this week. They’re for Christmas, but I’m the worst and basically told my mom she’s getting a quilt because I’m so excited about it haha

 

Nice! About how long does it take to make one? External factors excluded.

When I was a kid my aunt would make us all personalized quilts. I dunno if I still have mine, it’s probably back at my moms house, but it was really special to me as a youngin.

Probably between 1 1/2 weeks to 3 1/2 weeks of actual working time (from washing the uncut fabric to washing the finished quilt), depending on the size/piecing/amount of quilting. It always takes me awhile because I take a lot of breaks though.

That’s awesome that she did that. There really is something special and comforting about getting a handmade quilt from someone. My dad gave me a quilt that his grandma made him and it’s my favorite one I have.

No Closer To Heaven is my personal favorite, but I'm nowhere near as into that band as most people on this site

I've been a big fan of them since the Upsides, and their latest album is on another level compared to the others
