I loved Morrison's Damian particularly with Dick in the Cape and Cowl but I'm kind of over it.

I haven't read like ANY Robin stories, I think the only other big one I read was Death in the Family, I guess I like seeing Robin's die, lol. I just don't like the idea of a little kid working with Batman. It's never made any sense to me. The idea of a kid sidekick is like everything that kept me away from comics in the first place. I've just never felt it made sense with who Batman is and the setting of Gotham. In all fairness a good Robin comic could turn that around for me. I like the idea of a Batfamily like Babs and Nightwing working by themselves and helping each other out every now and then, but I like my Batman solo. I have to admit when I first heard about Damian in Snyder's run it was a major wtf moment for me because I'd never heard of Bruce having a son (I'm a newb, remember). Of course they brought him back, lol.

Oh yeah, completely agree, I feel like Batman creating an entire worldwide army based off his likeness is just a little bit important and would probably come up in conversation once in awhile. But no, if you didn't read Batman Inc you'd have no idea such a thing ever existed. The only reason I read it was so Snyder's Batman would make more sense and now I'm just more confused, haha. I didn't even think about that with Zero Year, definitely a good call on his part.

Went to a library used book sale today and picked up these GN: Justice League: Rise And Fall, Batman: War Crimes, Harley Quinn, Tiny Titans, and one of Geoff Johns' Flash. All for $2 a pop! Can't complain about that haul!

Nice! I've been looking at getting Geoff Johns' Flash books so clearly I need to keep an eye out for library sales. People seem to get a ton of good things there.

Obviously they aren't in great condition since they were used as library books but for $2 you really can't beat that

For sure. My local used book store doesn't have a huge comic section. They had The Dark Knight Returns but it was beat up and only $1 less than it was on IST so I figured I'd just buy it new eventually haha.

Hollywood crime/comedy series. It's been getting really good reviews so I thought I'd give it a shot.

Do you guys buy more expensive variants? Trying to justify buying one of the more expensive ones (18USD) but i'm not really a collector. Just really like the cover art.

I used to, but never went too high. I picked up the two original RTJ's ones. When I got up to the register they rang up around $200 and I laughed at the shop owner and left.

Haha. I didn't know those variants cost that much. Insane. Love that cover though.

The weird thing was, when I got the second Deadpool one, I think it cost the same as the regular book. It's just insane that they think it is okay to charge those insane amounts. My buddy got those same covers at face value in California.

Yeah variant covers tend to be roughly cover price when first released maybe a few bucks more. Occasionally there are some that are more but $200 just sounds insane!

Reading Batman Eternal and I have a question regarding Catwoman's continuity, (this is a spoiler from Long Halloween/WIR/DV) Did they ever bring up in the New 52 the whole Selina might be the Roman's daughter thing? I really liked that arc in Loeb's stuff.

Caught up on all the Rebirth titles I picked up and wanted to share some thoughts.

Enjoyed Batman and Detective Comics. Even though Batman felt a little empty, I may still be willing to collect it in the trades.

Wonder Woman was interesting with how they chose to write it , but I'm on the fence about that one a bit. Would have loved to see her have an actual conversation haha. Did like the art though.

The Flash had a good storyline going, but after Manapul's art on it, it fell a little short for me in that department. Although, I did like the look of Wally.

I was a bit confused with Superman, but I'm thinking that's likely because I haven't followed anything of his really. Any suggestions on which Superman stories I should check out?

Green Arrow I enjoyed a lot. Loved the connection between Dinah and Oliver right off the bat.

I never intended to follow these issue by issue so I'll likely continue checking out reviews/thoughts on the upcoming issues before making any definite decisions on which I get trades for (which will be a while from now anyway).

I think you are experiencing what a lot of readers are experiencing. Most of the Rebirth titles are just kind of setting the tone moving forward. Green Arrow really feels more like a #1 issue and had a little more to chew on.

Yeah. Superman was the only one that really made me feel like I had some reading up to do, so that's always nice to have good jumping on points without a complete reboot. At most they quickly recapped how each one became a superhero or vigilante.

New 52 has her as the leader of a crime family. I guess after reading wiki, you knew that.

I don't know that there was anything else after When in Rome.

She was a crime family boss for an arc in the Catwoman series (the only arc I read 'cause I liked the premise). I think that was the spinoff from that Eternal arc?
