For some reason my single version of “Give Yourself a Try” refuses to transfer to the album version as well. I even have the album pre-ordered and when I check for available downloads for that song it just tries to direct me to apple music. The other 4 singles downloaded no problem.

 

I don’t know if the file was saved anywhere other than on iTunes - not sure how downloads on iTunes work. It was bought on my phone so I’m not even sure it WAS on my laptop. If I’d have downloaded it from the internet then I’d understand your confusion. But they’ve removed the single from the iTunes Store in place of the album version and were obviously supposed to give me access and haven’t.

 

Okay, that makes sense. Sorry for the misunderstanding. I have iTunes set to make a copy of every file I add to it, including the ones I purchase, so everything is stored in one place. You might want to consider that setting if this keeps happening to you!

 

No worries. Oh I will from now on - spent nigh on two hours with their support team just to get access to one single song...I’d have bought it again but can’t even do that paha. Ridiculous!

 

I went through a really bitter breakup in the last year, and the chorus of “Sincerity is Scary” really resonates with me. Someone I thought I would always have in my life in some way now is someone I’m not even on speaking terms with, and even though it’s probably for the best, that doesn’t make it hurt any less... there are still days I just keep turning memories over in my head, wondering if things could have played out differently.

I’ve never really understood the whole global listening party. How does that work? Are people just playing the album and commenting on it through a hashtag at the same time? (I don’t use Twitter).

Always catch myself sounding like some grumpy cynical bastard complaining about that kinda thing. Just a common thing now seeing people saying stuff like KILL ME I AM DEAD when a band so much as posts a picture ha. Appreciate actual discussion about stuff rather than those sort of responses. Like folk who just screaaaaaaaaaaaaam at the frontman of bands at gigs. You do you, but nowadays I sit away from all of that. I really am a grumpy bastard.

I’ve said that for three days. I literally have a 1975 alarm on my phone for 2:40 AM to wake up and check for leaks. I fhml right now lol

 

Bahaha my friend text and said there's a leak alert on hasitleaked. I thought that meant there was a leak. He was referring to them emailing users. Ffs. At this point I'm just really anxious about the album given what Jason's said about the instrumental aspects. Wasn't huge on the last one so I'm worried and just want the first listen out the way.

I know I won’t prefer it but I may def enjoy it. I’m just looking forward to those last two tracks. I can already tell from the singles I won’t love this one the most of the three.
