It's probably the sound guy, I'd be willing to bet he's new. Probably can't hear himself on softer moments

I've watched 3 videos from Tabernacle and so far, from the songs I've heard, it's the best he's sounded on this tour. There are still some issues but I think it's just a stamina thing. He just runs out of gas at a certain point.

After listening to those acoustic sessions on their fb, I'd probably be willing to bet money that whatever it is, it's not entirely his fault

I played in a band for 10 years, when the sound guy sucks... Well the singers sound awful it's bc they can't hear themselves. I remember watching videos back and thinking "wow it sounds like our singer doesn't know how to sing..." When I knew full well that he was really good

I can't believe this is still being talked about.

    hmmm

It's definitely not a sound thing, his voice is drifting off at times in the Sixthman sessions as well and that's when he can sing a bit softer and go lower if he wants. He's just having a few issues with his voice, that's it.

I know what you're saying about the sound, but in certain moments, his voice just dies off. He knows the note he has to get to but he just can't get there.

From the very first word I heard at Shrine, I knew something was off. YouTube videos have only cemented that.

Plus, Dustin has been so perfect for so long that it's easy to tell when he's not himself.

He blew his voice out during M/m's sessions so it's been a thing in the past, but not in the live setting as much.

So weird that people are saying Dustin was off. I was at The Tabernacle and my friends and I were sitting on the side balcony right near the speakers and we all thought he sounded amazing. If the vocals were shaky I guess I didn't notice because the nature of their music is that it's really raw. But I was blown away regardless. Incredible show.

La Dispute was also great and I was super impressed by Gates. Their drummer was on point.

yeah La Dispute was a lot of fun. Loved when the lead singer did his little running in place bit towards the end of their set.

My fiancée wanted her first tattoo for her birthday. So today, I found myself in a tattoo shop, thinking I'd only be a spectator.

Bottom line, I now have the alchemy index symbol on my left calf haha

I just noticed they took Treading Paper out of their set last night so Daedalus and Stay With Me could both be in the set. Definitely a good decision.

And they played Yellow Belly instead of Anthology.

It's weird; I've said repeatedly how I didn't like Treading Paper or Anthology being in the set since Anthology brought back so many sad memories of their farewell tour.

And in regards to Treading Paper, I just didn't think it warranted a position over a song like "Stay With Me."

Treading Paper just doesn't warrant a position in their setlist to begin with.

They need more major minor but I would go with words in the water call it in the air disarmed or blur before that one

I am very okay with just one song from M/M in the set. It's Beggars that there needs to be more of. It's criminal that only two songs were included.

Agreed. Promises and Words should be mainstays. But, to your other point, I'd rather have more Beggars too. RED TELEPHONE!

The "Promises" bridge gets me every time. The intro sounds a little clumsy in the live setting, though.

would love to see Call It In The Air at some point. Probably my favorite track of Major/Minor.

I hated it until I knew it was based off of no country for old men and then it was my favorite

Yeah I think that movie was the first thing I thought of when listening to the song. Probably a big reason why I hold it in such high regard.

I love M/M so I was happy to get Treading Paper/Anthology at my show, but it would have been nice to get Call It In The Air because I love that song.

I honestly think Call It In The Air might be my all time least favorite. It's so freaking repetative

I think Words In The Water and Yellow Belly are the only songs I'd really wanna see anymore from M/M.
