I refuse to give bands their band stylization preferences. You want your name all caps or with weird spaces or whatever? Nahhhhhh. You can choose spelling, I get to choose the style that I think looks best.

 

I was adamant about spelling

out like that *every time* until i found it painstakingly annoying on an iOS device. I’m not even a huge FOB fan but I liked the gumption they had with trying it. Plus I got lost along the way. “How many spaces did I just type for the last letter?”

I jammed that (+44) album today and it really holds up. Chapter XIII is still a fantastic closer.

We might have a surprise album this time. Yes, we know the guys are in studio for some time now. But it seems that the band doesn't want to speak much about it.

After the success of "Bored To Death" on alt radio, they would be insane not to lead a new album with a big single ahead of time

 

Eh I doubt that. Seems the plan is just to have him on again to talk new music at another time as this was just mark talking about growing up. Just my take. Was this feature tonight? I wanna find it. Someone else mentioned another BBC interview with some CA instrumentals. Is that this same one?

Over six months in the studio without any clips or info is not like them. Its tradition for mark to post atleast one clip where he fails recording harmonies (did it both for Cali and neighborhoods).

Who knows, maybe the sessions are going terrible and the music sucks so bad that they are ashamed of talking about it.

 

Maybe they've been doing demos/pre-production and not recording the actual album yet.

Yeah I don't think it's out of the ordinary for them to keep the writing of initial demos under wraps. We didn't hear anything from California until they were tracking for the actual album, and Neighborhoods is not a good example because that process was a mess. He was literally just posting clips to make it clear he was still working on the album after like two years of empty promises lol
