Takeover is always saturday. Cant think of one that was a Friday.

 

Dallas was for sure. Maybe Orlando I don’t remember. But I know for mania weekend they used to be on fridays but switched days with Hall of fame now

 

A couple of the earlier Takeovers were on like Wednesdays, I think Takeover London was on a Wednesday too

 

Man, Ellsworth had it made and he ruins it for THAT? What a fucking idiot.

 

I was thinking they swapped it with the HoF last year but maybe I’m imagining that?

 

I mean a developmental guy is in the NXT championship match tomorrow. Only other developmental guys who have had an NXT title shot in the last four years were Lars in Chicago and Breeze in a random house show match back in 2015.

NXT is definitely very "big name indie" focused, but there is still plenty of focus on developmental people. I'm fine with them keeping the current balance and using progress/evolve as more "AA" developmental where as NXT is AAA.

 

Think you're right about Takeover:Dallas, that was friday while the HOF was Saturday.

Seems like they've finalized the sequence to be Takeover/PPV/RAW/Smackdown...though I wonder what they'll do when Smackdown moves to Friday.

Just watched that Becky day of thing. Surprised heyman was at smackdown. Haven’t really caught up on the past week yet though. I know we all want Becky to be in that spot but is anybody even the least excited for Charlotte/Rousey?

 

probably an unpopular opinion but I think that match could be a disaster. Ronda is still very green and needs a lot of scripting in her matches. And I don't think you can just slot Charlotte into the spots/story Becky was in. Also Charlotte is low-key terrible at carrying lesser opponents, especially compared to some of the other women on the roster.

 

So David Arquette just legit shot on Nick Gage in a deathmatch.

 

Arquette is really going out his way to erase the memory of his WCW title run debacle.

I gotta watch the last two weeks NXT first. RDR2 has just eaten up all my time and i'm behind on everything.
