What do ppl here usually wear on first dates? I always feel like I’m always under/over dressed and already thinking about tonight’s date lol

 

I wouldn't over think. I wear skinny jeans and a button down shirt every day, so if I was going on a date, it'd be no different.

I’m also on tinder and hinge but I use those a lot less bc it’s harder to see the dealbreakers (political affiliation lol) and the match percentage on okc actually helps.

I don’t think there are worse people on okc I think you just see it more immediately bc you can see the message before you match with them.
Since I hardly ever match with anyone, this leaves all the offensive messages in a void waiting to be found.

 

I’m also definitely in a weird place right now. On one hand I want my next partner to be my life partner, and I don’t want to settle, and I want to know my worth etc
And on the other hand I’m moving across the country in 2 years and want to be able to start fresh there and not be attached so I’m not looking for anything serious until I’m there

You can be single and not be bitter, lonely, or unlaid. Just gotta be transparent with people you meet so nobody has false expectations. I’ve been single for two years now and it’s been good for me, mentally, tbh. Which is crazy because from the time I was like 19-24 I would bounce from one serious relationship to another, a total serial monogamist hopeless romantic. But once I forced myself to just be alone for awhile I was like damn, this is great.

 

SAME. I want to move to NJ in the next year and a half or so.

 

I think my main focus is to improve myself for that year and a half. Think big picture and not right now.

it went ok. she's not my type at all but she's really nice. it was weird, I kept giving her outs in case she wanted to leave and she was like "I don't have anywhere to be, do you?" so we ended up just talking for 2.5 hours until the place we were at closed at 11pm. Said goodbye feeling like we didn't click. I messaged her saying "that didn't really work out, did it?" and she was like "what do you mean?" I told her that it's normally pretty easy for me to tell from the vibes if I'm gonna see a person again and she was like "yeah, I want to hang out again. You're cute and I like your sense of humor." then she officially gave me her number (hadn't gotten it yet).
