Just rode my bike 4 miles in to work to do some grading. Haven't been on a bike since I was 14. Forgot how much a bike seat makes your ass hurt.

 

I don't have a butt at all so the seat goes right into my butt bone and hurts so bad. I've tried padding the seat with the most expensive plush seat covers and ugh still hurts. Proud of you though! You're going hard and that's so awesome.

 

Anyone know where I can get contacts with an old prescription?

 

Is anyone else watching the "new member" thing on the front of the community page? So close to 10,000 members.

Do you still need an updated prescription? Costco was strict about not giving me contacts past the prescription date.

 

I haven't personally used them before but from what I understand you just type in the numbers, they don't care what your prescription is.

That's dumb. Can't you buy "prescription" (ie. not those reading glasses sold in a 3-pack at costco) glasses without a prescription? I hate my eye doctor and he always makes me think I need a new prescription when I don't; also antisocial me finds him too friendly.

I guess it makes sense because contacts can (i think?) do medical harm?

 

If you wear the wrong prescription it can fuck up your eyes so I'm sure they just don't want to be liable for any injuries that people could sue them over or whatever. It makes sense.

I've had the same prescription for like six pairs in a row but I haven't had my eyes checked in a couple years and I feel like it may have finally changed and I'll need slightly stronger ones this time around. If I ever go get them checked lol.

 

Also fun story about my contact history: I didn't need glasses until I did my behind the wheel driving instruction and my driving teacher said I was awful. She took me to the DMV to do the vision test and I couldn't see a thing.

I went to the eye doctor and had literally 20/20 vision in one eye, but like, something bad in the other. For the first two years or so that I had contacts, I only wore 1 contact.

 

I've never heard of only needing one contact, that's weird haha

I first got glasses in 6th grade, they were Rocket Power glasses with little skateboards built into the sides that slid back and forth.

 

So I guess I'm gonna milk this last pair of contacts even more. Oh well.

 

Contacts were uncomfortable the one time I tried wearing them. Thankfully I'm nearsighted so I don't have to wear glasses all the time. I wear them when I work so I don't have to wear the stupid goggles.

I got glasses when I was 8, and I've never been able to do contacts. I basically need to be held down just to use eye drops.

 

Almondjoys and Mounds are great. Everyone can get fucked.
