Lol but really I'm not sure. At this point I wonder if there will be any songs that don't have the other guy sing at all. I thought from his Sekrets stuff that I could see Matt fitting in to blink but there isn't anything specifically on there blink-ish. Idk haha.

 

Tom Delonge is not nearly as insane as most of the Brand New thread so Idk what someone of you are talking about.

 

Also, some pretty un-iconic guitar parts, with almost certainly no arpeggio parts to be found.

Adding to what I've said, I don't think the alien stuff is weird (as I myself find that kind of stuff interesting), the only thing that has me worried about him is the whole blink situation, not necessarily what he's working on now.. The stuff about him lying/not being upfront and saying he's still in the band, etc is weird

Jerry would have asked for the same credits in 2016, the royalty structure has shifted to it just making sense. And the power is now in the hands of the on demand producers to ask for it and get those points.

 

Also, when Travis was talking about tom recently, he said something about how Tom wouldn't proceed without a record deal so then they got one and then Tom had another excuse. If I remember correctly, tom also said that the deal stated he couldn't talk about his other projects for about 8 months and that's why he didn't sign it. Do you think that was true? If so, i could understand to a degree since The Dream Walker had just come out, it'd be hard not to. It would be strange if Mark and Travis agreed to that, it would be like if Travis wasn't able to talk about his solo album/transplants/projects

 

never saw that anywhere, but if true, then it's valid that Tom wouldn't want to sign it. I'd assume it was something that would restrict his outside projects; probably not fully putting a gag order. Also, for all we know it could have been an issue of Travis being given the same stipulations and being okay with it; it would have legally been saying, "Blink is your first and only (musical) priority", which Travis is probably more likely to be okay with.

 

Imagine if there were both versions out there and the outside influence of another person on a band was readily apparent to certain fans. Hahahah.

Well Tom used blink to promote AVA - maybe they wanted him focused. I posted yesterday my experience when Tom came into our radio station on the day blink headlined our festival and Neighborhoods had come out that same week - the only reason he agreed to the interview was so he could have a meeting with our program director to play him a new AVA track.

 

Lol damn, that's crazy. I saw them in Dallas the night of the album release and they didn't play any more new songs than they had been playing. Also, the only mention of it was right before they played the first new song off the setlist saying something like "this is a new song from our album that came out today" and that was it. I don't know, I thought they'd be more excited and hyped up about it.

 

I hate this thread. John Feldmann must have cowritten it.

People can shit on Feldmann all they want, but at the end of the day the guy as an fucking impressive resume of work.

 

I think that's him just trying not to look like the bad guy/keep the cash flow coming
