Being a young franchise is fun and not at all depressing

 

Telvin will be in the record books (TFL), Yannick should be (Sacks and FF), if we keep Ramsey he has a good shot too (PD). I'd love to see Josh Lambo get there.

Yeldon is currently 5th all time in rushing. Brunell is 4th lol. ARob is our single season receiving TDs leader. Josh Lambo has our 1st and (currently) 2nd best seasons as a kicker.

 

That Yeldon stat is kind of mind blowing considering how much the Jags hate using him lol

Allen Robinson is your single season receiving TDs leader (which you did mention) and Allen Hurns is tied for #2 in single season receiving TDs for the exact same season.

Our team ran the ball SO MUCH back then that Garrard struggled to eclipse 3000 yards. Also a lot of his early distinguished playing time came when Leftwich and Brunell got hurt, he wasn’t the starter until we cut Leftwich

We should honestly be running that much RIGHT NOW. We have Fournette, Yeldon, and a QB who is an actually good running weapon and who plays better when teams have to account for that.

I should be seeing 23-25 carries to Fournette, 11-15 to Yeldon, a few to Carlos Hyde and a few designed Bortles runs most of these games. Add 4-7 targets each to Fournette and Yeldon in the passing game depending on game flow. Even when we fall behind we should be predominantly running if there’s still plenty of time left.

 

Miami had a 14-play drive that lasted over 7 minutes. The drive ended with the Dolphins punting from the Packers 38 for a touchback.

Fournette isn’t Taylor and Yeldon definitely isn’t MJD but I think 200 yards a game would be a good number for a well above average RB tandem on a shitty passing team.

Dude Jags fans watch so much damn football and yet they are so bad at knowing anything about it

Everyone here grew up born and raised either FSU / UF and Jags. Football culture is honestly huge here, but they get their ideas from college because they actually did have good teams for awhile, and try to apply those concepts to the NFL, and think they can’t be wrong because the Jags suck.

We haven’t seen enough good NFL football from the Jags to know what good NFL football looks like I guess. When I started Jags and Joints I took the high road (lol) and chose to watch film and all the other teams to figure out WHY we weren’t good. So that’s why I actually get it and I’m sure it’s the same for @CarpetElf

 

Trust me I understand, my friends go to bars and watched televised high school football games frequently hahaha, and in elementary school the cliques began forming based on whether you rooted for Texas or Texas A&M (with a strong minority group of Tech and OU fans). The big difference is a lot of the homegrown Cowboys fans in Dallas aren't too dumb (I'd say middle of the pack with really high highs in intelligence and REALLY low lows, but relative to sports fans in general they're not TOO bad), it's the transplants who claim Cowboys but defect after a bad season that are the usual consistent morons.
