XSF is a great case study about BOBs philosophy being dumb as well

He chose XSF in the draft so high because he thought he could play all 5 OL positions

Like that was the reasoning choosing him over Derek Carr

Rick fucked that draft all up after round 1. That draft is the reason they traded up for Watson I think, couldn’t just sit back again and get jumped for a QB.

 

Re: XSF being good in Dallas

Jermey Parnell was good there too for some insane reason that you can’t even tell now

 

Parnell was good because he was playing alongside Tyron Smith, Travis Frederick, Zack Martin, and Doug Free and they were all in their prime.

 

I still can't believe we drafted Tom Savage.

It blew my mind on draft day and has blown my mind every day since then.

He was so bad, so so so so so bad, and we drafted him.

He was so bad in that one game he played in against the Colts his rookie year, yet I was pleasantly surprised by him because he was so much better than I expected!

He was such a bad project that he spent the season of Hoyer/Mallett/Yates/Weeden on IR.

He was so bad that the only time he looked like a competent QB was coming in relief for Brock Osweiler, against a team that gameplanned for Brock Osweiler. I wish we could take back that goddamn standing ovation he got that day.

And yet he's so nice and I'm thankful for him as a person.

 

If you're behind Weeden on the depth chart, may God have mercy on your soul.
