I love the story in God of War. Not so much because it's that complex or even well written but I just think it gives so much context to the game and helps you get invested. It makes what's going on mean so much more and I just find them so fun.

 

I've always loved the epic set pieces that take place throughout the games, it always felt larger than life. Plus, there's just something satisfying being this powerful dude just tearing through mythological monsters like paper.

 

In fact, I'll go on a limb here and say that OG GoW was one of the very best in that generation. Playing that for the first time was awe-inspiring.

didn't like 3 very much at all though honestly. It was really short and the levels weren't nearly as good. GOW1's were so epic (a hugeeeee temple chained to the back of a giant roaming the desert for eternity, \m/ as fuck).

 

I think the boss battles are what sticks out the most for me with 3, mainly due to the brutality of them.

 

Yeah they were brutal idk if I was a little jaded jerk by the time 3 came out or what but all aspects of it felt a bit more cheap to me. Idk it's been years

 

I did like that Hercules fight, especially loved that Kevin Sorbo was the voice of him too.

It's both brutal and a little silly that he's gotta murder every god tho now in that game

but it's like where do you go after what they did

 

God of War 1 & 2 are both all time favourites for me. 3 was still one of my favourites of last gen but yeah it definitely wasn't quite as good as the first two.

 

bets on if there will be some non Greek gods? who is even left

 

All the rumors are that it's set in Norse mythology so that's a pretty safe bet.


Saw Andrew House saying that Neo will not be at E3. Seems odd.
