I think the issue is I get comfortable. I didn't have a life until about 3 years ago when I got sober. So I missed alot of years of building a life and getting a career and developing actual life skills, and if i'm being honest I really need alot more work on simple life skills and I also want to go back to school and move back to NJ. For me it's just so hard to get my ass in gear when i'm in this easy comfortable relationship where she loves me for who I am so I justify to myself that i'm doing enough with my life when deep down I know i'm not. Personally I need to be single in order to make great strides, at least I think so. Maybe its possible me and Cait could of worked out and maybe it still can. I just need to get my ass in gear. I've been to 3 weddings in my life i think

- my aunt's when I was like 6 and I was the ringbearer. in a church and boring
- my uncle's. I don't remember when this was or what my experience of it was.
- my cousin's. was a few years ago and there was an open bar and I remember flirting/maybe dancing with someone and getting her number but she never texted me back. B+

 

I was at a wedding between two women actually last week and it was beautiful for the simple fact I have known them for a while and know they genuinely love each other. That makes it a ton better to witness. Idk if that's the case with every wedding. I know I won't feel that way when I go to my directors wedding in May lol.

 

weddings are awesome. people throwing a party because they love each other enough to get through a bunch of bullshit and still stand each other is cool. i just hate how they’re all based on the same traditions for the most part, at least in America. it all feels like different takes on the same flavor and i could deal with something more intimate and less flashy.

Weddings out here are always those rustic pinterest weddings that are all the same and I always expect the food to be better than it is. It def depends on the couple and the guests how a wedding will be. Boring stick in the mud guests make for boring weddings.

Multiple people have described my wedding as "cute", which is just a nice way of saying that we were poor and it was cheaply put together and a lil lame. I had a shit ton of fun though, best day of my life. We did a Batman theme and people had a lot of fun with it.

 

I'm also straight edge and high anxiety so all the fun parts of weddings aren't for me

We had batman masks for the reception. Colors were grey and yellow so it looked pretty cool. Batman cake too with Batman and Batgirl minifigs on top.

Also my sister in law and her husband had a Christmas Vacation themed wedding. It was in December, we had breakfast for dinner, drank egg nog out of the reindeer glasses. Man that was fun. They made an actual house front and wired like thousands of lights on it, it was amazing.
