okay i was saying the office is mostly devoid of emotion while Parks made me care for the characters pretty much instantly, just to be clear haha.

 

CHAMPION

 

The only character I hated was Peter I think his name was? He was such a goober.

Favorite is a tie between jean ralphio and Orin

 

The entire finale of Parks and Rec is just adorable.

 

Barney the accountant was the best Parks character

 

But really it's Ben Wyatt

 

Ben is my favorite.

I wish they didn't do the "jump ahead a few years and over exaggerate the future" idea for the last season.

 

I feel the opposite lol

Both great shows though

 

I think they only did it because Amy Poehler said she was tired of being pregnant on TV so they wanted to skip her entire pregnancy

I still think it worked though

Also, in hindsight, is their future really that much weirder than ours? We elected Kane to be mayor.

 

They jumped ahead like 2 or 3 years, didn't they? And then all the future jokes and technology was way too over the top in that Parks universe.

 

My boss is basically Ron Donald from Party Down, it's great

 

Jon Hamm as Ed was great too for the 30 seconds he was on the show

Yeah I think Parks hit me more emotionally, I do love both shows a lot. It's like comparing bananas to bananas can't go wrong imo

 

without this we never would have gotten the shia lebeauf joke

 

Party Down should have gotten more seasons

 

I think I'm ready to put Bojack #1 but it's hard to admit

 

Weird cause I'm ready to take Bojack off the comedy list altogether hahaha. You should not be able to consistently describe a 30 minute sitcom as "something that will fuck you up"

30 Rock reached Simpsons level heights and it’s satire was so potent that screengabs and gifs from it have overwhelmed the internet in reactions/parallels to news and current events in a way matched really only the Simpsons. It’s my favorite sitcom ever. When it, Parks & Rec, and the Office were all on the same channel on the same night, what a time it was.

Bojack has more in common with anti-hero dramas like the Sopranos and Mad Men than ensemble sitcoms, though it is incredibly funny. It’s probably my favorite show currently on the air.

Party Down is also perfect.
