After getting burned by the whole Kanoa fiasco I ended up going with the Treblab X2's and was actually pleasantly suprised. Great battery life, and pretty decent sound.

The Phazons are super intriguing and if they ever actually release them they will be what I go with next.

  2. Thank you! I added the Treblab X2's to my wishlist. I made a leap of faith and ordered these last week. I have yet to try them though.

I got the jabra elite sport true wireless headphones for Christmas, really awesome so far. I highly recommend if you want to venture out of the regular Bluetooth ones

I'm looking for a decent external (small) microphone that I can plug into my android phone and use to record better audio at concerts/live band rehearsals, etc...

Any recommendations? I'm not an audiophile or anything, so I'm just looking for something on the lower end (cheaper) that will give me better results than the bullshit built-in mic on the phone.

lol i am idiot when it comes to these things.

but after owning many vinyls, i'm finally getting a record player. i need recommendations! 100-150 range would be nice. I also want to use my bluetooth soundbar to connect to my record player, rather using external speakers thru the aux or using the built in speakers in the record player.

    any advice?

100-150 range is tough. The lowest I'd even rec you is the Audio Technica LP-60 with BT connectivity but thats $180 new. If you look on Amazon though, they do have them used for a good amount cheaper. I've never owned one though, nor a player with bluetooth so I have zero experience with it. Seems like what you're looking for though!

i'm cool with shelling out the extra 30 bucks. for some reason when i searched bluetooth vinyl player, it just showed me players that phones can connect to to be used as an external speaker. this definitely helps! thank you so much.

What headphones should I get for recording/mixing? My AT-M40Xs broke on a flight recently and I need something good in a $150 or less price range or so. I've seen the Sennheiser HD280s and Beyerdynamic DT770s recommended. Does anyone recommend those/something else? Or should I just order more ATs?

Ii like Grado headphones and have rhe SR-125 and SR-60, but right now I’m way more into my vinyl setup, and recently went back to basics with a Magnavox 1580 amp, Pioneer PL-600 (silver) turntable with an Audio-Technica headshell and Shure M97xe cartridge. Sounds incredible.

Super late response so disregard if you have already figured something out. But what I have done in the past when doing some basic live recordings for a friends band was to use a small stand alone audio recorder in my case it was the Zoom H1 and if you plug it into your headphone jack with a normal headphone type chord it will automatically turn into what your phone uses for sound when recording video. We tried a few of the cheaper purpose built smartphone mics and the sound was nowhere near as good with the H1.

This is the one we used.

I'd honestly check out that ISK microphones company. It's a Canadian who bought this Chinese company. They make a Shure SM57 clone for $50. Trust me, you can easily cut a podcast on one of those. Nothing fancy just a good workhorse and you'll probably never be able to break that mic.

so Im finally going to make the jump to wireless headphones. I just purchased a samsung gear s3 and want to pair my spotify to headphones for the gym. Or my S9. Ive been using my ipod classic for 12 years and Im worried it will crap the bed any day now. My questions for you all.

-Bose wireless soundsport or Beats X? Im leaning towards Bose.
    - Is there an adapter for my ipod classic (non touch) to make it pair to wireless headphones? And wont cost $40
-Any one have the galaxy gear s3 frontier non LTE and have experience pairing to wireless headphones and speakers?

Hey guys, this is the best place I could find to post this question. I need to buy a wireless PA system for my job today. I run meetings every week and the system we have now is crap, if we turn it too loud there is major feedback. Any suggestions on what I should look for? I plan on going to guitar Center to find a good one but know nothing about this world.

They're great so far! They'd definitely benefit from a sub, but other than that, no complaints. (Of course, it's only been a few hours though.)

So I wear hearing aids and wanted to get a new set of headphones that are more for all round use, since I only used OTE cans. I decided on the Aftershokz Trekz Air, which are bone conductor headphones. These are realllllly weird. Not sure if it’s because of my hearing impairment, but the bass is great on these, but the mid/highs are muffled a bit. Still really cool and I’m excited to use these through workouts

    Hi There!

(Did you read that in Winstons voice? you nerd:)

I'm new here and was hoping for some advise.

So I've just made plans for buying a BC Rich Warbeast 7 String, Black Devil. Through Gear4music. They were kind enough to let me buy it on a payment plan even though i have bad credit (I'm from denmark) so i hope It's ok if i make a shout out to them. Good guys, i bought a 12 string from them last year and It's been nothing but a joy to play.

Anyway I'm wondering what amp would go well with it, It's my first own el-guitar so I'm green in this area and It's on a budget, around 270 EU, and if i can i want to buy it from these guys to support them.

This guitar is a Metal Beast and i want an amp that can deliver so this purchase Isn't wasted but i have no clue as to what to look after. I listen to a lot of Tool, Dethklok and Classical metal covers at the moment, i want to learn to play songs like Forty Six & 2 if that helps.
