Not sure if this was posted anywhere, but apparently blink is playing at E3.

I'd say it's their worst track two in their catalog.

Hahhaha. That's I how read it too.

 

1. Tom's use of synth made the band better.
2. Self-titled has the best lyrics, but Neighborhoods and DED come right after and are miles ahead their other stuff (with a couple exceptions).
3. Dude Ranch is overrated.
4. blink-182 joke songs are utter shit.

 

1) Isn't that all Ken Andrews and Roger Joseph Manning?

It just gets worse, doesn't it

 

Matt doesn't write riffs or arpeggios like Tom. Say what you want about him but he can do things that Matt cannot do with a guitar (in terms of writing). I love Matt but he wouldn't have to "relearn" guitar if Tom played power chords all the time.

That doesn't mean Tom is Teppei but he's capable of writing a catchy/memorable part each song.

 

I simply do not really believe this, but whatever.

 

Really off putting how mean spirited people are still being about Tom.

 

Matt is a very good guitar player. His catalog of solo and Alk3 live work is proof enough. He was absolutely not saying he had to relearn because of difficulty.

 

It's actually a proven fact that Dude Ranch is NOT overrated.

Tom is a fine musician, but there's no way in hell he is better than Matt.

 

They have two different styles of playing. Matt is skilled at what he does and clearly knows how to play a guitar. Just because he doesn't add unnecessary flairs and embellishments to it because that's not what he likes or want to do it, doesn't mean he's any worse than Tom.

I wouldn't call Mariah Carey a better singer than Etta James because she can hit higher notes. Sure, they're both singers but they serve two different purposes and they're both good at what they do in their respective styles.

 

I like how Jason started the pot with down is boring, and we somehow have gotten to....this

 

Unpopular Opinion 2: I actually LIKE neighborhoods. (Said like not love)

 

I'm not here to bash Tom, I have respect for the guy and what he has done for Blink up until the reunion. But in terms of talent, song writing, guitar playing or whatever he's not even close to Matt in any shape way or form. Don't get me wrong, Tom has wrote great songs, shit, " Not Now " is my favorite Blink song.

 

I like Tom and Matt in different perspectives. I find it hard to compare them honestly. Despite all the crap tom has done lately, I still respect him. Hell I actually liked neighborhoods and DED and liked AVA up until dream walker(granted the two love albums were only hit and miss). It's only recently that I think he's gone downhill, since he left and released that god awful solo album and book and whatnot. He still has creativity he just ain't using it

 

Crimson is better than any blink album. Let's keep the pain going. @Drew Beringer would be with me.

 

Crimson is my favorite album by alk3. That being said I like untitled more. But I am a blink fanboy I'll openly admit I have a bias opinion

 

I agree with this, but the thing that always bugged me about Tom was how sloppy he could always be. He does have creativity left, but I think his problem is with how big his ego is, he thinks anything he creates will be a master piece.

 

I had no idea you liked Crimson, for whatever reason I thought you disliked it aha.
