This is absolutely wild to me in every way, but I’ve def felt this way before about albums. Tbh this is kinda how I feel about A Black Mile to the Surface.

 

i enjoy this a lot but i don’t think it’s better than The Season or even great yet. i also have only done two morning commute listens, haven’t been able to pay the writing as much mind as i would like yet. feels like a grower.

 

I like it....just need more time with it. NLAQ felt more relatable on My first listen. This feels like it builds in AGO more as a sound. Production sounds good though. Really cool guitar parts.

 

First Contact is a jam

 

I feel like a lot of this album tackles dealing with mental illness, particularly in the context of being in a relationship where both parties struggle with it. I could very well be wrong about that, but the lyrics to this have really hit me because that’s how they read to me.

 

Hey there, this happens to me with certain albums all the time. All I can say is, maybe don't try to force it on yourself. Stay away from spaces where people discuss the record and gush about it, and listen to some other stuff for a bit. Then when you feel ready, return to it and see if it grows on you. Sometimes all you need to love something is to remove the pressure of expectation.

 

I only got 2 listens of this in, but I really like it. It's a good blend of Movement and NLAQ, while still progressing their sound.

 

Hope it grows on you! I know how big of a fan you are

that setlist is unreal omg

 

If someone goes to this tour can they video come and gone for me? Linds walked down the aisle to the end of that song!!!

 

Replace Get My Cut with basically any other song and the setlist is better ;)

 

in dc they didn't play chasing skirt, first contact, or me and my lovers. the rest was the same though

also they skip the first two verses of come and gone and go straight into the faster drum part

 

I think what I posted is the set list going forward. Bummed you missed out on that though!

 

He mentioned that they were only playing 60 minutes but another night they did 70. Seems like they just don’t have the same time slot every night

 

Listening to The Season right now and while No Bouquet is really solid- The Season still reigns supreme if you ask me.

 

Self Repair really hit me today. I feel like each individual track is taking its time growing on me, which I love. This is a very solid release.

 

Whoever said value and however long sound identical, I hate you. I can’t unhear it (but man can you believe that we’re here~)

 

I think it’s the intro riffs that give them a similar feel, but to my ear the songs are quite different!

But Listen to them however long it takes to set them apart ;)

 

It’s just that first riff but it really is remarkably close now that they said something lol

I do prefer value by quite a bit tho. One of my favorite ago songs overall

 

I agree with that, that song is UNREAL

However Long, is a great song too, I think it just suffers a bit from being out for so longer before the album dropped ha

I still get amped for it tho. Also I think it’s my wife’s (feels weird to say that) favorite song on the record as well

 

I would agree about however long’s placement. oh congrats to you two!

 

I guess my early assessment is that every song is just very good. There isn’t a stand out track for me that’s amazing and the highlight of the album or a lowlight that I’m not into. I think both their other albums have both of these.
