Like I said: fucking dense. I don't actually think these are sentient humans typing these things. I'm very sure these are trained chimpanzees doing this to mock society.

Let's be honest this is basically a Feldmann solo album with blink acting as his session musicians.

Why are people so upset if people feel they can hear a Goldfinger influence?
It's music it's meant subjective. The music and lyrics will mean different things to different people as we've all had different experiences to each other.

I just had a moment where my fiancé and I were cleaning the house, and Rabbit Hole came on. We literally sang at the top our lungs and played air instruments like a couple of idiots but it was damn fun. Makes me realize it's a fun catchy song and does for me what older blink use to do. Bumped that song up in my faves list real fast.

Looking at what music means to someone is a lot different than conflating a pretty damn basic pop-punk sound to a specific artist simply because of who the producer is ... it'd be like going into an art museum and saying one painter is obviously influenced by or it looks like the one next to it on the wall because they both used paint, and some of it was blue, and there's a woman in the piece. Are those three facts true? Sure. But do they make the argument true? No. The elements of 90s pop-punk are diverse and range through countless bands most people making the claim have never heard of (and I'd say it's clear many never listened to Goldfinger, or much of Feldmann's work over the past few decades) and this song harkens back to a lot of them from that era ... because it's written like a 90'ish pop-punk song. The issue is using a lazy comparison based mostly on a misunderstanding of Feldmann and co-writing (which is often how the comparison is being used) and a lack of historical reference to the musical style in question.

Also, it doesn't sound like a Goldfinger song.

I like it even more then day 1 now that I got a digital download of it. The Zane Lowe broadcast didn't do it justice

i'd say "Rabbit Hole" sounds a hell of a lot more like All Time Low than Goldfinger, and it doesn't even sound like All Time Low that much

This thread has taken an Inception-like turn and is now, in fact, a rabbit hole itself.

Did this all start with me saying it reminds me of +44 earlier this morning? I hope so, I'd be so proud

Sadly no. You're merely a pawn in this game. This became a running joke b/c of the Goldfinger comments people were making yesterday.

It sounds exactly like Goldfinger if there was never a band named Goldfinger.

There are men performing fast-paced rock n' roll music, singing lyrics, they say a curse word, it's a verse-chorus-verse structure..... therefore, it's Goldfinger!

Wasn't it produced by that guy from Goldfinger?
