So if any given year he makes 30 starts and wins a CY he could get up to 36.5 mil damn

Hard to imagine him not missing at least a few weeks any season from here on out though

Lol at the amount of talk the last day that the Yankees should give up on Gary and trade four years of him for two of Realmuto

MLB Trade Rumors top 5 predictions:
    Harper - Dodgers, 14/420
    Machado - Phillies, 13/390
    Corbin - Yankees, 6/129
    Keuchel - Nationals, 4/82
    Kimbrel - Cardinals, 4/70

Kershaw restructure was for Bryce? Get LA in a more desirable luxury tax situation?

Angels fired their hitting coach and signed former D-Back's player Jeremy Reed. That's now the head coach, pitching coach, and hitting coach who have been replaced this short off-season. Three much needed changes. DR's/Strength & Conditioning coaches should be next.

It's laughable how many people think they are choosing Gardner over Harper. If they wanted to they could sign him. They will give no fucks about the luxury tax this year.

They had to rely on McKinney (gone), Shane Robinson and Neil Walker for OF. Judge played a game in CF. Ellsbury will likely keep falling apart once he gets out of bed in the a.m. and still who knows about Clint. Hicks hurts his leg or oblique 3 or 4 times a season. They couldn't exactly fuck around with compromising their OF depth.

I can't see a way where Corbin isn't a Yankee within the first week of a FA, they could always find a good 4th of for a cheaper price elsewhere

Gardner was still a 2.5 WAR player obviously mostly on defense. Since it's not my money I liked it lol. And I don't think they're worried about going over. Their starters as of now are Severino, Tanaka, German, Loaisiga, Cessa, Sheffield, Adams lol. Plus they lost Britton and Robertson. Lot of pitching work to do. Wonder if they try to trade for Kluber too

I have been saying for a couple years now that NY needs to do a legitimate upgrade to their pitching rotation if they want to win a championship. I would hope they’re going to bring in at least one and hopefully 2 new SP’s this offseason.

Why would Cleveland trade kluber? Is that a thing happening?

Kluber, Carrasco, Encarnacion, couple others they've apparently made them available. Lindor and Ramirez still obvious no's

My guess is they’d only move them if they’re blown away by the offer. Kluber and Carrasco are on extremely team friendly deals so it seems absurd Indians would move either one.

Oh yeah def. I mean it would be dumb to do something crazy when you're pretty much already guaranteed the divisional round lol

Given how bad Kluber has been his last 4 playoff outings and Carrasco not even pitching in 2016 WS run, maybe they think they don’t need them?

I have no idea what they’re doing.

Maybe they’re just playing money ball and think they have a replacement for one of the big pitchers on their roster already with Shane Bieber? Trading a guy like Kluber frees up a lot of money, brings in a ton of future assets, and then they can use part of that money to sign someone new.

Mostly, I think they’re just seeing what they could get for these guys, and I doubt they’ll end up moving anyone in the end, except maybe Encarnacion.

Kluber only made $10.5 mil in 2018. His contract increase to $15 mil in 2019, which is still an absolute steal for a guy who has won two Cy Young awards and has been one of the best regular season pitchers over the course of the past 5-6 years.

I don't think trading him frees up much at all (assuming you're taking back some contracts as well).

My guess is they'd like to trade for a MLB ready power-hitter in the OF seeing as they have one of the worst outfields in the majors, especially if they don't re-sign Brantley, which is looking slim.
