    Things have changed.

Yeah, Feldmann LOVES blink too much to just get in there and make a "my way or the highway" declaration. Before the project, he went back and studied the old records to figure out how he could help them regain that spark.

I'm not the biggest fan of Rabbit Hole tbh, and I've learned that the Blink subreddit has the worst community ever. If you say you don't like it, the drums sound too compressed, the guitars are too quiet, etc, then you get called a tombot or simply a person who just has to nitpick every little thing and can't just enjoy new blink music man

  5. Real question: What other sites do people around here go to for thoughtful, intelligent discussion around music?

FUCKIN SAVAGES IN THAT FUCKIN BOX Prestigious

I was under the impression that they're ganging up on the hate for this song from what a few people have said on here? No way in fuck I'm venturing in there to find out for myself lol

There are two songs I enjoy from Neighborhoods/DED: After Midnight and Even if She Falls. I don't feel it's too strong of a statement because my dislike of basically everything they've done since reuniting is stronger.

Said I'm okay, but I know how to lie.

Someone on here said blink just come back and release a song that feels like early 2000's and is better than anything pop punk bands from this era can write. Well, here's disproof:

Don't get me wrong. I really really really like Rabbit Hole.
But this is just way better and feels more early 2000's.

The majority of that sub is in agreement with what you're saying right now actually. They're praising Tom after Rabbit Hole released. I'll admit they used to attack you if you tried to defend Tom once in awhile. And, even then, it never really got out of hand and there would be enough people chiming in on both sides of a discussion. It'll probably die down in time, but it's generally not terrible there.

I love watching Brian Eno or Steven Wilson interviews for insights and inspiration:

And for impartial reviews, I use AllMusic

As you might be able to tell, I don't find forums to be very good places for actual discussion. I much prefer to see discussion that's in person or an interview with an artist where they get to complete a thought.

Do or do not, there is no try.

Each to their own and all that, but this does not remind me of early 2000's pop punk at all, really (maybe that's just me). It sounds closer to that neon pop punk stuff that came out around 2007? Like The Maines first album.

If you scrub through the video there's a little interview with Matt and Mark but the interviewers are god fucking awful.

Between that rap/rock song I heard yesterday and this With Confidence band, I can confidently say Hopeless is a really awful label.

Off topic at the moment, but: I just added Hey Mike! to that Spotify playlist. I forgot all about them.

Really awful label? That's a bit of a stretch. They have a fairly fantastic roster as far as this scene goes.

The two bands you mentioned, I'm not keen on at all though.

Do you know that off your head. I'll be damned if I had a clue what key any song is in. But I guess I'm not musically trained
