Same, I feel like I'm having the same feeling with these songs as others did for Neoghborhoods. I welcomed those songs with open arms, but i remember people saying that they felt weird just hearing new blink songs (since most thought that would never happen). On the first couple of listens for both new songs, it's felt weird, BTD eventually settled very well with me and I feel like That will happen with RH as well

Yeah, noticed this too. Don't forget WYHSB. I was glad that Rabbit Hole is in G, not many blink songs are written in that Key

Another poster said earlier that Feldmann's previous production work, stuff like Story of the Year or the Used, was what got them down about his hiring for California, and I agreed. I was concerned about how he'd make the drums sound, and with Travis' style, how obnoxious it might be. That was my main concern. Now that I've heard the HQ streams and listened with headphones, I eat crow and am happy with the production on both tracks. What it really boils down to is that some fans refuse to accept change. They don't like it and never will, and nothing will appease them unless it's what they initially knew to begin with.

I just wish I could have data on the age group of the opinions I've been reading. Ohhhh, how I want that.

FUCKIN SAVAGES IN THAT FUCKIN BOX Prestigious

I'm just too worried now about how Matt Skiba can ever hope to compete with guitar god Tom Delonge.

A big difference is that Travis probably already knows a little more about what he wants. Someone else is doing the engineering and mixing but he's not going to just let them handle it how some of those bands would. He's probably way more involved.

That's a great point. The band is obviously involved very closely, leaning on John for guidance. The fans who are blaming him clearly don't get it. It isn't as if the band walked in and he started shouting "we're gonna do it my way!"

    Sleekest of beaks. So Good.

My favorite Tom DeLonge album is that Jingle Cats album he did, he record the vocals live with no editing. Check out his cover of Silent Night.

Even if She Falls and After Midnight are really the only two songs post-reunion that I go back to

As much as I've disliked a lot of Feldmann's production I never worried about him running roughshod over blink with his template or anything. Mark did great production for MCS, all these guys have been around forever. Very happy with the sound of these songs.

Mark sounds too much like John Feldmann on the new song

"Brohemian Rhapsody" is obviously about Goldfinger, so it makes sense

    I am a haunted house. I'm superstitious.

Revisiting Mark's songs like Wendy Clear, Shut Up, Online Songs, Roller Coaster, and I'm totally ok with them making those kinds of songs again. It just suits Mark, having him singing fast pop-punk tunes. And I'd much rather listen to him doing it than any new pop-punk band around.

Rabbit Hole is a far better song than Bored to Death. Not even close honestly. Bodes well for the album.

I think I like Bored to Death more, but Rabbit Hole is a top four song for me of the post-reunion songs.

We talk too much / We talk in circles

You really feel that way after 26 hours? It's FINE if you do; I just think that's a strong statement after only 26 hours.

I've had the new Thrice record for 2 weeks and I'm still figuring out where things stand all time.

But that's just me. Different strokes...
