Oh wait, is that the name of the bonus song on the Japanese version? If so, I can totally see that happening then. Cool!

Sorry, I just copied and pasted it and it came out like this. But at the same time, I feel like all Noisey's headlines sound like they are yelling for attention either way.

  9. I actually thought BTD was more +44 than the new one

It might be that, but I also think that they had some crazy high expectations to live up to after their reunion, especially after all of the hype, the delays, the drama, etc. I don't think they could all agree on a direction they wanted to go. This new stuff seems to be them ignoring all of that and just getting back to doing what they do best.

Except for Mark's voice and Travis being the drummer on both bands, Rabbit Hole has absolutely nothing to do with +44.

All of the songs Mark has written post-reunion that have been compared to +44 have all been written in A minor, I've noticed. "Bored to Death", "Dogs Eating Dogs" and "Hearts All Gone" are all A minor songs with similar guitar tone (obviously because it's the same guy). "Lycanthrope", "Weatherman", and "Lillian" are all the same, as well. There are probably more, but those are the ones I know off-hand.

If you're breaking down and overanalyzing blink 182 songs you're going to have a bad time. Lol and does anybody listen to a song without being on a mission to figure out what it sounds like? I mean blink has lots of memorable guitar parts without being technically that impressive but I still don't understand why people are really complaining there's no great lead in Rabbit Hole. The verse riff in BTD and that riff in Brohemian Rhapsody fit RIGHT in to blink's catalog. And maybe some of you people have heard blink 182's biggest hit All The Small Things, otherwise known as the one of the simplest songs ever written on a guitar. Sheesh.

Exactly. Just relax and have fun listening to it, people. If you don't like it, skip it. This should be a rule.

I commented on this elsewhere, but I was trying to imagine how I'd feel about Enema depending on what the first song revealed would have been, and I think I would have been furious if All The Small Things was the first single back then. I would have completely written them off after several years of digging into Dude Ranch. lol I don't even hate the song, but it would have gotten so much shit from me if it was the first Enema song I heard.

Back to the Neighborhoods' tracks - am I in the minority when it comes to liking "Even if She Falls?"

Nopes. Great song, wish they had performed it together live during that album cycle.

Idk about minority but it's my 2nd favorite all-Tom track on there. I like it quite a bit.

Agreed - catchy and Tom being as close to pre-AVA Tom as possible. I work at a radio station and Tom came in for interviews the day of our big festival where blink was the headliner a few days after Neighborhoods came out and he said it was one of his favorites off the album as well.

Side note - Tom agreed to the on-air in-studio interview to talk about blink, just so he and Chris Georggin could get a 10 minute meeting with our program director to pitch "Surrender" for spins.

Lol a few days after their big reunion album comes out and AVA was his priority. Shocking! Haha
