    I am a haunted house. I'm superstitious.

It's on repeat since I woke up.

Also, I wonder if 'Hey, I'm Sorry' is the "WHAT'S THE POINT ON SAYING SORRY NOW?" song.

A lot of people are complaining about the production. They're saying the sound is bricked (which would be more of a mixing issue rather than producer touch right?) and the drums are buried, vocals/harmonies too polished, etc. I'm not hearing the issues they're talking about, but maybe I don't have an ear for that stuff. I'm curious to hear if anyone here has a more educated/experienced opinion on this though.

For the record, I think Rabbit Hole is a good song. I'm not in love with it, but I didn't expect to be for a number of reasons, so maybe that puts me in a different place than the people that really bought into the "fan favorite" hype that Hoppus/Feldmann gave it. It's a solid tune that I'm hoping to enjoy even more in the context of the full album.

I thought this too, but I remember reading somewhere they said that song wasn't included on the album.

Said I'm okay, but I know how to lie.

It's alright, but it's miles apart from the work of Tom Lord-Alge.

Yeah I remember that too, but technically Japanese bonus tracks aren't included on the album.

Great tune, love the bass. This album's productions seems to be perfect.

  7. I was initially upset to hear that Blink was recording with Feldman but I think that's because my only real memories of his work were with The Used and Story of the Year, and I hate the production on those albums. It's a been a nice surprise hearing the new Blink songs. They need the huge production that they had on Enema and TOYPAJ, and I think they're getting it again.

    Sleekest of beaks. So Good.

I think it was the Hi My Name Is Mark podcast that Mark mentioned that song will be on the EP. But totally possible they decided to make it a japanese bonus track since then.

They definitely needed a hands on objective outside producer I feel. I think that's a big part of what held Neighborhoods and Dogs Eating Dogs back for me, among other things.

I feel the Zane Lowe Apple Music version did sound wonky, but the real version since then sounds top notch to me. They're probably listening to that old one

The uncensored high quality version sounds way better than what was on Zane Lowe, not to mention him talking over the end was annoying as hell. Could he have not waited til it finished to talk?

Most of the articles I've seen aren't really liking the new song, which is a pretty stark contrast to what I saw with BTD. I guess looking at what fans have to say, it's more like a "blink" song than BTD, but BTD was sort of unexpected and this is kind of "we've heard this too many times before" sort of bland. After sitting on it overnight, the song is a lot less aggressive than I thought it would be and my brain is automatically adding those generic ska/punk horns into the chorus because it sounds so familiar. Hopefully they didn't kill their momentum with this one, which is probably a major jumping the gun assumption on my part but, I'm really not getting the same sustained excitement as I got with BTD.

  13. I would be upset if there wasn't a song like Rabbit Hole on the new album.

I think the production fits the song. It's very similar to the production on TOYPAJ. Yeah there's not a lot of dynamic headroom, sure I could see it getting fatiguing if every song has this treatment. I guess we will see how the album sounds as a whole.

This song has been stuck in my head all day. That chorus is so catchy and the "with you, with you.." part is just so good. I just wish "Dear head, shut up" was never ever written down ever.

    A few things...

-The track is solid, a bit of a grower but I think it will sit well on the album.
-The comment this sounds like Goldfinger is a ridiculous comment - you haven't heard Goldfinger.
-Production is great and really helps these songs achieve something Blink hasn't done since Untitled.

  19. I like the punk rock-ness of "Rabbit Hole" but "Bored To Death" is a better song.

    Give what you can.

You really want some mind blowing Blinkaline One Eighty Trio shit? Check out Dan Andriano playing "What Went Wrong" like 15 years ago.

My thoughts exactly. Not as dynamic as it could be, but I don't think it really needs to be. I don't get the complaints about vocals being too polished, either. Blink needs that or else it will sound like Neighborhoods.

  22. I like Rabbit Hole a lot, it's a catchy and fun tune that will go over great live. It's a great throwback skate punk song. A song like this isn't intended to wow people, it's supposed to be just a fun song.

Completely agree. I feel Blink have taken themselves far to seriously since sellf titled and this is a nice break from that. No sign of a landscape....

  25. Right. And there wasn't really anything "fun" about Neighborhoods. There are good songs, and glimpses of good ideas on that record, but nothing that really gets you excited and wanting to move. The closest thing to that energy is Heart's All Gone (which I still love)
