Honestly, the closest trade to this has to be the Browns getting Jarvis Landry from the Dolphins. They gave up a 4th and a 7th the next year.

 

The problem is that Jerry seems to think that making the playoffs is enough to be considered a successful team.

It's nice to make them or be down to the wire every season, but we're a worse version of the Bengals for quite some time now and even if getting Amari helps us win the division at 9-7 or 10-6, it still isn't that big of a deal.

I’m not sure I EVER would have traded Khalil Mack but hey, Gruden is setting that team up for a LEGIT rebuild. If you’re gonna get guaranteed 10 years with a team, hell that’s probably the way to do it. Stockpile picks and play the long game, knowing the current Raiders definitely didn’t have the overall talent currently to contend.

They’ll be a joke in year one and two... but I won’t be surprised if 5 first rounders in 2 years, plus a full draft the rest of the way, turns them around.
