Do you mean the first time since his injury? Or first time ever?

I'm pretty sure I've seen him march y'all up and down the field for wins before.

Not like that. I mean he pretty much blew teams out last year, he was never in a situation like he was yesterday.

Hmm, okay. I doubt you should be worried though. That late interception pass was pretty awful, but that isn't normal for him.

Also true but the decision to throw into the end zone on 3rd&2 was bad. Just throw the ball out into the flat, you pick up the first down and they still had time outs to spare.

Oh right, I forgot about that. Yeah, that was a bad decision.

I didn’t even mention that we have to play the AFC South-leading Texans in Houston.

This is pretty much where I'm at, except I do believe he is capable of playing at a high level. He just needs good players and/or good coaches around him.

At what point does needing good players and good coaching translate to "he's just not that good and needs everyone else to elevate him"?

There are plenty of players tearing up the league right now that looked below average to terrible before having a coaching change and good players added around them. Goff, Gurley, Wentz, etc...

Not every quarterback can be Brady, man.

Put Deandre Hopkins at safety at the back of the end zone so Brock can overthrow him

Nope. No one can be Brady. But Dak hasn't even proved he's in the Top 20 at QB yet. There are teams with two QBs on their roster i'd consider starting over Dak lol. (Really it's "team" but I'm a Jacoby Brissett honk so feel free to ding me for bias.)

I won't really make the player argument. Just that he definitely needs better coaching. Good QBs make the players around them better, but they can't impact coaching.

So you're going to ignore the main point of my comment?

Outside of 3-4 current quarterbacks, every single one of them need good coaching and/or good players around them to succeed. Why is Dak the only one who seems to get shit on for that?

Zeke was shut down the entire game yesterday and Dak put up over 300 yards, two touchdowns, and a fumble and people are pinning the loss on him. It's idiotic.

No part of my feelings about Dak being not very good at football should be construed as thinking Garrett is any good as a coach. I kinda think they deserve each other in some sort of mediocrity symbiosis.

At times during Dak's career, he has had the best offensive line in the league, a hall of fame tight end, a hall of fame level WR and a generational running back. He's just not good at football. I'll eat my hat if he ever is good at football.
