So I've been talking to this girl who lives in San Francisco for the past few months... we have a bunch of mutual friends through music and other things, and had been online friends for a while before we realized we liked each other beyond that. Anyway long story short she's visiting Orange County for a few days starting tomorrow and we're gonna be spending time together.

I'm excited but honestly also feeling a lot of nerves. My previous relationship ended last July, and for several months I held on hoping we might get back together, and finally had to accept that she had totally moved on. I'm 23 and that was my first really long-term serious relationship, which lasted for about a year... and since then I haven't really seen anyone. I just have a lot of self-doubt and anxiety... to be honest I'm pretty inexperienced romantically compared to a lot of people my age, having only been in one real relationship, and one that didn't exactly end well. Idk where I'm even going with this... I know I really like her, and I feel like I should be so excited right now, but honestly the more I start to think about things the more nervous I get that she won't really like me in person, etc.

 

I’m excited for you! Be honest about your nerves and doubts, trying to hide that doesn’t end well, and you won’t be alone in worries like, “they won’t like me as much in person”. Meet up and see what happens! Hopefully awkwardness flies out the window quickly. Meeting someone from the internet has its certain advantage, like already knowing each other pretty well and having an established build up of trust. Message me if you need.
