Yeah the final act started out epic and then it just kinda ended. I kinda felt like they were like “ok. We’re done . Now leave.”

But to those who seemed worried, don’t. I’m obviously more inclined to point out the few faults/negative over the many great moments. Though, it’s crazy how much the trailers showed.

 

I think It Follows drew enough from Halloween that I don't need to see his take on the series

Seems like opinions are pretty split. The few takes I've seen in another horror group are pretty positive

I was legit scared in the theatre and so were lots of people

He directed the hell out of it in the best way. There’s some great iconic moments

yes but I didn’t see the first so it was a little much for me but it looks fun

yes and yes. The stuff I loved I really loved. I’m glad this film exists. I am glad I only watched the first trailer.

 

I really loved it. Can't wait to see this again in the coming days.

Michael killing a kid was pretty messed up. First for the series, yea?

 

Happy D. Day 2 U looks lit AF. Glad they are doubling down on the craziness.

Ya I kinda felt like the kid shooting the doctor by accident maybe was just to justify it? Otherwise there’s no reason for the doctor to have been handicapped in that way going forward

 

Yeah, I'm probably going to be in here a lot today. Lot of stuff to say.

First thing is that I honestly think its crazy to say that the positives about this movie don't DRASTICALLY outweigh the negatives. Which begs the question, why do people always go straight for the negatives? I just never understood that. It seems like a terrible way to consume art.

 

He clearly went soft on that kid tho.

 

I'm also going to be listening to the score all day at work because it is fucking fantastic.

 

Apparently there's a post-credits scene... worth staying in my seat?

 

I didn't stay and I just checked on aftercredits.com and they said there isn't anything. So maybe stay to confirm or deny.

Edit: or if you are going I'll just check when the first show ends here at work.

 

A kid dies in Halloween 3, but not by The Shape. I dont want to sound dark, but that was actually a nice surprise cause I was thinking “of course they’re not gonna do that”. From that scene on, I knew that no one was safe. Would’ve been next level crazy/shocking if he killed the baby, even though it’s been done in movies/ tv shows before.

 

Nah, just kind of an hint of a sequel.

If you want to know (spoilers): Its Michael Myers breathing being heard over the end of the credits.

 

Next movie he's def taking out a baby - he always avoids those lil guys.

 

Checking out the soundtrack finally. Glad I avoided it since there’s very spoiler-y titles but this non-spoiler screenshot made me giggle. Hahahaha.

 

To be honest one of the things that's bothering me the most is why didn't they make Allyson's dumbass boyfriend one of Michael's victims? lol

 

He should have been drowned in a bowl of something.
