FUCKIN SAVAGES IN THAT FUCKIN BOX Prestigious

I continue to be baffled by people thinking Mark and Tom could work together in a studio

In this pretend land, what did Tom do with his ego?

And what is possibly appealing to Mark about making an album with Tom when Neighborhoods hasn't sold in 7 years what California did in a year?

I think we talk about this in absolutes too much. Anything could happen

Put me in the camp where I love skiba but Tom coming back would make me happy. Their live show misses Tom. Miss that banter

There barely was any banter in the last few tom tours.

Yeah it's beating a dead horse. And that's why I said 2023. Absolutely anything can happen in 5 years. Hell, the first breakup only lasted 5 years and during that time it didn't seem like there was a chance in hell of them reforming.

I enjoy all iterations of Blink. So just keep enjoying them now, but don't be so shocked if they go through another change in the future.

I was about to say that, haha. I saw them... 4 or 5 times with Tom during the reunion and they barely spoke. And any attempts at jokes were just as bad as Built This Pool, pretty much

Yup. And watching them try to force it is worse than nothing at all for me

I saw them 5 times between 2009 and 2013 and each time there was a lot of banter, which mostly felt like Tom trying to carry the show. It always felt to me like Mark just wanted him to shut up. But I actually enjoyed it for that very reason, it was like their shtick. Now there's just a few bad forced Mark jokes and it's boring.

Interesting. Last time I saw them with Tom (at Mohegan Sun in CT) in... 2012, I think? He barely said a word.
They played Disaster though, so that was cool to see, haha

    Lost $57 million.

But no I agree with you, Mark ain’t working in a studio with him ever again.

Only time I ever see Tom associated in blink is if they get inducted into the hall of fame. I think he deserves to be there...at least. If they play a song....eh. No one needs to see that.

Yup I was at that show, it was 2013 but you're right Tom made 1 joke and asked whether the crowd liked Taking Back Sunday and the opening band but other than that neither Tom or Mark said a word. The full show is on Youtube. I believe they played a show in NY the day before and were playing another show in NY the next day. Mark took a train to CT and Tom took a helicopter and it was like they wanted to just get the show over with so they could get back to NY as soon as possible. It was probably my least favorite blink concert I went to.

That opening band was horrendous, haha.
Didn't realize it was all on Youtube- will have to revisit some of it.

  14. I think that was the same band that opened at the cosmopolitan show in Vegas. They were SO BAD. I think Chris Georggin and Rick Devoe were managing them.

Yeah I found it a few months ago. Outside of them not really looking like they wanted to be there it wasn't a bad show. Like you said they played Wishing Well, DED, Disaster and Josie.

Yeah we talked about it before, it was them. They were awful, so so so so bad.

I will pay the $499 VIP pricetag to have Tom sign the pieces of said hat I can't finish.

I told this story before: I saw them here in Germany in 2014. It was at a festival in Bavaria that traditionally was one of the largest reggae and hiphop festivals in Europe. However, starting that year the festival gave up its sole concentration on said genres and included also some punk, rock, and metal bands. It was still, however, a famous reggae gathering.

Taking Back Sunday and Converge both played amazing sets. So did, for some reason, Shaggy.

Then blink came, headlining one out of three evenings. They played there set without ANY talking. They did not play a single DED song which was confusing as this was their latest output back then. There was zero energy.

Then Tom finally said something: "Welcome...everyone....to the big.......... Rock festival".

He had no fucking idea where he was. Both geographically and festival wise.

I have seen them before in 2010 which was awesome. But that show in 2014 was among the most disappointing ones of my life. And I have been to many shows.

One of my worst shows was the Taking Back Sunday TAYF10 show in Boston. Still get irrationally annoyed just thinking about it, haha

  20. Maybe that’s in the TBS thread but why was it so bad?

Adam just wasn't into it. I know his schtick is to hand the mic off to people in the crowd for a song, but that's what he did for the last 3 or so of the album. Just walked around the venue letting fans sing. John asked him several times to make his way back, and you could genuinely see him getting annoyed by it. Genuinely made me stop being a fan of the band.

    Birds and Guitar

Blink, Green Day, and TBS are all bands I somehow never saw in my mid-2000's heyday of going to 2+ concerts a month and I'm pretty sure Green Day is the only one out of those three that I'd still care to see, granted I was never a big TBS fan to begin with.

  24. I saw TBS open for BCR with H20 and the Used. Literally every band at their prime. One of the greatest shows I ever saw. TBS has never been that good. Im not even sure I knew who they were yet.

I had tickets to the Pop Disaster Tour, but gave mine to a friend of my sisters; they were graduating and wanted to see one last show together.

    They hate each other now.

    :tear:

Gotta love that high school dramz.
