I don’t think Tom is gonna play the Vegas shows because he’d have to learn California songs and there’s no way he will/would be able to learn them well enough in time. Haha

Once I saw the pic of Travis’ setlist I realized that expecting Tom to come back is totally not going to be a thing.

 

I’m legit gonna be kinda bummed if Tom is at my vegas show. Not gonna lie.

Nah, Matt's definitely being an asshole right now. Being personally involved in the matter, he chose to make another post supporting her specifically when it was brought to his attention IN PERSON how problematic it was in the first place. Nobody expected him to stop or downright change his mind but he didn't have the fortitude to address it with the people who brought it up to him directly when we gave him the opportunity and instead chose to be a child and make that post to rub it in our faces.

 

At a meet and greet fans brought it up or what? How did this happen in person? How did he react on the spot? As a casual fan of his that only follows him for blink content that’s literally all news to me. I hardly even read his captions unless it’s got to do with blink so I never even gleaned the salty post in reaction to criticism.

 

Before a show I spoke with him on my own and even gave him a letter. It was in no way rude, demanding or even finger wagging. It was simply, "it was a bummer to see you posting this stuff and as a survivor here's why, etc." I even told him I didn't expect to change his mind about it because I get that that's his friend but I'm open to talking, listening and having dialogue about it even if we agree to disagree in the end. I was around for a couple of days after that and he had every opportunity to talk to me about it, even gave him my number, instead he avoided me the rest of the time and waited until the day he knew I wouldn't be there to post that photo. I know other people he knows personally have addressed this with him as well. Instead of talking to any of us about it he chose to do what amounted to a "fuck you" instagram subpost, so...

 

Hypothetically, what in the world would blink-182 sound like in 2019/2020 if Tom were to rejoin and record another album? California was a such a massive step backwards (whilst i appreciate Matt, it was musically as bland as it comes IMO and his talent really showed in the lastest trio album), but the last two AVA releases were pretty massive for Tom. Dream Walker + Chasing Shadows had some pretty cool moments and musical ideas littered throughout, so the thought of that style somehow mixing with a style in the form of California/Mark just doesn't register for me.
