What are y’alls thoughts of Gerald’s Game? Worth a watch?

 

Yeeeeesssss.

 

Only movie of recent memory where I’ve had to actually leave the room during a scene because I thought I might pass out.

 

Was pretty fast paced for only having like one main character. Great acting and some very interesting / awful scenes.

Hated it.

 

What didn’t you all like about it? I thought it nailed the sense of dread and doom and mixed totally realistic fears with supernatural and crazy really well.

 

I still need to read the book so I can see that

 

I fell asleep during Gerald’s Game and never got around to rewatching it haha. Shame on me

 

I enjoyed Gerald’s Game. That book wasn’t a favorite of mine from King, but I enjoyed it as a movie more for whatever reason. For cinematic purposes and keeping with the tone, I think if the final scene were cut off it would be much better.

 

I really liked most of Gerald's Game
hated the narrated ending

 

I wasn't too crazy about Hell House LLC. I feel like the grainy footage and muffled audio made it hard to follow what was actually happening

 

to be fair: I don’t like a lot of stuff

 

Gerald’s Game was better than I expected it to be. Glad I watched.

 

Finally watched Creep 2 and I loved it! Better than the first easily

 

Edgar Wright’s 100 Favourite Horror Movies - Movie List

 

Glad to see The Ruins on there. I feel like that movie is underrated.

 

Bad acting but I liked the story and concept. Would love to see a different take done on it.

 

So I binged Haunting of Hill House. It's definitely worth a watch and is way better than the Liam Neeson early 2000s nonsense and also Annabeth Gish is lovely as always

 

Wright's list is pretty awesome. He even listed Who Can Kill A Child? Which, if you haven't seen I highly recommend. I don't know if it's available streaming anywhere though.

 

In a supporting role capacity, but this is cool!

I liked the first episode of Haunting of Hill House. Thought it was pleasantly creepy.

 

so Ive still been meaning to watch Hereditary

hows the pacing on that one?

might be watching with someone who gets bored easily

 

There’s an unexpected turn about a third into the movie

 

The book is a masterpiece. Scott Smith only writing two novels is still the worst.
