How many pumpkins to get this yield? I find that we are able to get a lot of seeds from the small baking pumpkins, moreso than the giant ones. But of course we still get big pumpkins for carving.

 

About 1 and a half pumpkins. We carved pumpkins at her dads house tonight. I saved all of mine, she remembered to save half of hers before she got carried away carving

 

This just happened within 5 minutes away from me. So tragic.

I’m so frustrated. I came in to work today (on my day off) planning to finish up the schedule which should only have taken about an hour but somehow between yesterday and today it got all fucked with and now I’ve been here for 5 hours trying to fix it and I’ll probably be here for 4 more. I have to much homework for tomorrow I need to be doing

 

making schedules sucks.

A lot but their availability is AWFUL and honestly, (I’m gonna sound like an old man here) the work ethic of these kids is such trash. It’s honestly so frustrating. And we basically have to cater to their “needs” no matter what. I hate it.

 

I can hear you yelling at them to get off your lawn from here.

 

I mean it though. It honestly amazes me how terrible these people are at working.

 

I feel you. We hire literally anyone that gets an interview.

 

I think that’s what’s going on here. I know the hiring manager has a lot on her plate and they’ve sort of been set in their ways for awhile and I just feel like I’m walking into a mess. They’ve basically allowed the employees to dictate their own schedules for so long and it’s created a very difficult hole for me to dig myself out of. I wish we could just do a cleanse lol

 

I wouldn’t mind doing the hiring but I just have too much going on with school

 

And the thing is they close off their availability cause they want very specific shifts but if they opened it up I could honestly make their shifts so much better than they are right now and actually give them two days off in a row and stuff like that

 

Damn kids.

 

My word this post is relatable. When I was the manager at CVS, I made the schedule and me and my manager had a terrible time hiring because the store was in a well to do old money area so a lot of the kids never had to work before. They only wanted specific shifts, they were always calling out for the dumbest reasons (I had one girl whose dad called off on her behalf because he saw her report card and was making her study, and another kid who called off to go to a high school foot ball game). They usually almost always quit after a couple months because they didn’t really want to be there and then the next one would come along.

Coverage was terrible cause they’d only want to work like M-W 5-9 or some bs so we had no one in the morning, weekends etc. so I ended up working alone or super long shifts A LOT

 

The weather for Tallahassee says “hazardous air quality”. Uhhh, what?

 

I feel like everything is hazardous these days.
