She was very clear after everything that she was still hung up on her ex and that she wasn't looking for anything serious. I'm not really either tho so I can't complain. I asked her if I would see her again and she said yes. Then she said to text her whenever I get lonely lol.

I texted her the next morning and told her I had fun. She said the same and we've texted here and there. She seems into it sometimes but other times it just seems kinda meh. She reiterated again that she's not looking for anything serious and isn't interested in being monogamous at the moment, to which I again agreed with.

I asked her how work went tonight and she said "Ah it was fine, I'm just super tired." Then I sent her a meme and said goodnight. No response.

For a first date, I asked someone (who ended up being my wife), if they wanted to go to breakfast Tuesday morning. She told all her friends she thought I wanted to be just friends and she was so sad I didn't want to go out with her.

Truth is, at the time, I was working retail (Geek Squad) and worked nights 2-10, and I wanted to see her ASAP so I thought breakfast was my only option.

 

I'm someone who gets more anxious and worked up if I have to wait around so I'd rather go do something right after work or earlier in the day. Otherwise I get all clammy and nervous

Thanks, this is actually very helpful. I'm in a transition period of life right now and "not looking for anything serious" is 100% brand new for me. I'm like wanting to text and talk throughout the day and I get how that can kinda be overbearing for a near-stranger lol, even though my intentions are harmless in that I think she's cool and want to talk to her.
