Just preloaded mine last night! Pretty excited

 

Either way, continually shitting on Microsoft is uncalled for and Rare/Microsoft came back swinging with Sea of Thieves.

 

I mean Rare was way better before Microsoft owned them...

 

Good thing there is Rare Replay...

That's one game. They made many of the best games on the N64.

 

Like I said, dust off that N64!

 

They made a bunch of mediocre to bad OG Xbox and 360 games before they got moved to the avatar program and Kinect, only to then re-emerge after several years with a popular online game. I don’t remember an inactive period, which is what shelving would refer to.

 

I'm gonna have to get a new hard drive. Somehow I've been living off a 250gb one for the last two years

 

250? Don't they all come with at least 500?

 

The one I got was somehow with 250gb internal lol, I got it for like £150 3 years ago or so

 

Sea Of Thieves isn't that good though...it's not bad, but it's not anything anyone needs to experience.

Also, Microsoft does a lot of stuff well like their customer service, their backwards compatibility and their online, but they handle their first parties terribly and have a habit of going back on their word.

By the way, I'd like to point out that just because I'm pointing out Microsoft's flaws, it doesn't mean that Sony and Nintendo don't have their own problems because they totally do.

Yes, the other systems have their flaws as well but you really seem to focus a lot of time and attention on Microsoft/Xbox.

Oh my bad, the game is fantastic.

In the Nintendo thread I go off on them for stupid things like how their handling their voice chat through a phone app, not having Netflix, YouTube or a web browser, charging people for cloud saves when there's currently no other way to back up any of your data, and much much more.

Sony's online is unstable, they have an awful platform for backwards compatibility, their controllers die rather quickly, they abandoned the Vita after overpricing it and requiring absurdly expensive proprietary memory cards, they've been stubborn as hell about crossplay and are just now allowing PSN name changes, but it won't work for all games.

Is that enough to soothe your Xboner?

 

Not liking what Microsoft has done with the Xbox brand isn't recent years doesn't been you're biased. and I'm typing this on my Surface Book lol.

Yea Microsoft fucked up with Rare, there's no two ways around it. Like it's not about if you're a Microsoft or Sony fanboy, Rare objectively got straight fucked by getting bought by Microsoft.

Now, the Microsoft of NOW could very well be different from the Microsoft of back then so it's not all doom and gloom! But to plug your fingers in your ears and say "just go play the old games" when a company actively got fucked over is pretty ignorant.
